Crazy thought this morning after reading an ESPN article.

Usmanov owns 30% of Arsenal. He is a supporter of Wenger. Usmanov can't get the time of day from Stan Kroenke.

Might Usmanov sell out, then buy a stake in Everton with Moshiri, then RM gets his one way ticket back to Catalonia.

The next manager. Wenger?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i cant see arsene managing any other prem side than arsenal myself NB..

I think Wenger will retire mate when he leaves Arsenal?

Hey, he could bring in a hand picked successor, grab a big payday, and set Everton up for long term success. Just some crazy thinking early this morning. A computer generated Yoda could out coach RM at this point.

Wenger will most likely retire or take the France job after Arsenal. No chance he goes to another Prem team.

Bring in Koeman from the saints he can bring forester, mane and pelle with him 😇😇.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Another which won't happen. Koeman has a very good idea what available options there will be when the time comes at the end of next season.}

Wenger has been in charge of one of the top clubs, with all the financial backing he could wish for, but, has not won the title in the last 10 years, so thanks, but no thanks.

If we lose today Martinez will be sacked tonight or tomorrow.

I already think moshiri will have someone in place.

Bill will also have to let go as the fans all of us now want him gone.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would not bank on that pb, i dont think anything will happen until the seasons end myself mate..

09 Apr 2016 08:32:00
I certainly don't want Bill to go. I'm even more certain I'm not alone in thinking this.

I don't want Bill to go. But I do think he can down size his role and allow Moshiri to have more of a say.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri is a businessman who has only just arrived. What sort of "say" do you want him to have?}

09 Apr 2016 12:07:31
Not being funny but you don't talk for all Evertonians. Most I know don't want blue bill to go. I'm with then. He's Everton through and through and has given us everything he has.

Bit of confusion there, I don't want bill to go I meant he will have to let rm go.

Bit of confusion here, you clearly don't know Bill, his first love is Bill, second acting/ plays, and Everton is his hobby? LOL.

To answer your question Ed 002, I'm not sure. But I would guess that he is eager to get started with his vision (I expect he has one of those already as a business man) . Now whatever that is, possibly to do with marketing and stadium proposals I would guess that Bill need not have as heavy a say in those now that an invester with almost 50% of an interest is involved.

What do you think Ed? Is that opinion realistic or would he be looking to do something else?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I suspect you think that Mr M will be living localkly and involved on a day-to-day basis. He won't. He is a businessman who doesn't live in England. He will need to look to external help to come in to look at where the entire business is (not just the footballing side) and where it needs to get to. In order to achieve where it needs to get to there needs to be a sensible plan (stadium, academy, involvement of the community and the local authorities, football side, commercial side etc.). From a commercial perspective there will be a big boost next season with the additional media money, and a good chunk of that will be available early to encourage summer spending. Also on the footballing side Everton will look to inform UEFA of new investment (this has to be done by December 31) which will give a short-term buffer against FFP for the 2017/18 season. I would also suspect that the plan will include the run down of BK over the next year or so and then the sale of his shares to Farhad Moshiri or Farhad Moshiri in partnership with another/others. Critically, there needs to be a plan and not knee jerk reaction.}

09 Apr 2016 13:14:02
Ed002, yes Moshiri is a businessman but Everton FC is a business and he has taken a first step in adding his man Ryazantsev to the board presumably to improve the commercial side and also to investigate the path to moving into a new stadium or a renovated Goodison. As I have said before I don't expect Moshiri to get involved in on the field matters nor should he but he can give the board his views on his expectations for success as far as football is concerned which I would hope would be an improvement on what we have in the league at present.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The thing is Mike that Everton is not a business that he will ever be running on a day-to-day basis - he will want what is best to improve his investment and with the additional money coming in that is already heading the right way. He will look to other changes, commercially, the stadium, the academy etc., but it does need to be run as a business in order to work.}

Funny that stig the only thing your ok with about Bill is his love of gambling. Your opinion stig, nothing wrong with that. No bother Pb78. Typing error can happen very easily.

Not many left that want Martinez to remain. Your dead right about that.

Agree completely Ed002, Moshiri will not be involved on the running of the business on a day-to-day basis, however I do expect that he either has or will develop a vision for how he wants the club to be and then the critical next step is to put a team together who will work to develop and put into practice a plan for that vision. The first step for the team is the appointment of Ryazantsev who Moshiri obviously has confidence in and with time I expect further additions to the Moshiri selected team which may result in elimination of some of the old guard. Hopefully we will see significant improvements at the club but it will take time.

{Ed002's Note - Right - help will come in.}
