Ed025: agreed. Besides, we need to move on a load of players before we have the room for any recruits.

Ed02: We do NOT have to move players out because of any “sell to buy” malarkey, BUT we do have to move players on in order to get the squad size down AND to get non-playing deadwood off the wage bill.

Definition of “deadwood”: One or more people or things considered as burdensome, superfluous, or serving no useful purpose.
Don’t see a problem in suggesting that some of the current squad fit that description.

I liked Deadwood was a great tv show
On a serious note I have some mates who are hammers fans getting all excited with their moves so I did point out that we splashed loads last summer and it was too much to soon with no time to gel.

Just because a story appears in the media, that doesn’t mean the plays is being “tapped up”.
Clubs and agents have no doubt been talking (about Lookman and other players) through permitted channels for ages.

I’d have thought it impossible to be blamed for tapping up a player that’s been on loan to you for the last 6 months. Try proving that one 😂.
