celtic have had bid turned down for Buttner.
i just hope that's an indication that Baines may stay.
i also think that if we had agreed to sell either or both then surely the deal would have been done by now.
the rumours going around sayin if them two go then we will bring 4 in, I just can't see all them deals being done with so little time left.
anyway an interesting 2 days ahead.

i really don't think BK is daft enough to be mugged off by UTD. surely he knows he will be vilified if he does.Am I the only one who thinks we will keep both players and even bring one or two in?

stewillow

1.) I happen to agree with you Ste. Its just that people on here take tabloid rubbish and lazy jounalism as gospel truth. Hopefully we are right and we get a good couple of additions to the team and keep what we have. The doom and gloomers can turn thier attention to something different then.

2.) Yes you are :)

gut feeling is both Felli & Baines are staying.also think more players to come in.Honestly don't think we need to sell so why would we?

stewillow

1.) I think you are being over optimistic there mate, this is Everton, we sell when the money is flashed.Love it if Baines stayed but my gut is they are both going. To be honest I wouldn't be that bothered about Fellaini going as long as BK gives Robbie a decent percentage of any transfer fee.I want Moses and McCarthy.

2.) We need to sell Felli bc he doesn't want to be here. I think having 23 mil to reinvest would be better for the club over keeping hold of an uninspired Felli

maybe the UTD owners are selling up and have brought dithering Dave in to work on a budget!.
Why would they make such a stupid bid like that?.
it makes you think.
someone told me recently they think UTD will be sold
within the next year or 2.
will be an interesting couple of weeks now though.

COYB

stewillow

1.) Well if there selling up am sure it would need to b some 1 with loads of money as the club is valued at 1.2 billion

Stewillow

Yeah and steve mclaran or my favourite, mark hughes lol

06 Apr 2015 16:46:10
I know there a few on here who want RM out in the summer. With that in mind who do you think would be a good replacement?

Stewillow

1.) 06 Apr 2015 17:54:17
I said it earlier in the season around christmas time that I would have had a punt on Steve Mclaren.

2.) 06 Apr 2015 19:44:21
Bobby will still be with us next season? If not the only manager I would like is Frank de Boer from Ajax.

3.) 06 Apr 2015 20:11:36
Slaven Bilic or De Boar

4.) 06 Apr 2015 21:59:10
Bilic & de boer good shouts

{Ed025's Note - any of them would be better than..de bore we have at the moment.. :)

5.) 07 Apr 2015 10:14:07
Bilic, De Boer, Klinsmann, Eddie Howe or Sean Dyche

6.) 07 Apr 2015 12:58:51
Leon Osman

7.) 07 Apr 2015 12:59:02
Phil Neville

8.) 07 Apr 2015 16:09:49
we had a "punt" on Mr.Bean,& look were that as got us.

05 Apr 2015 17:59:33
Another decent performance by ossie, being asked to play on the left & just gets on with it. Top pro

Stewillow

{Ed025's Note - i agree ste, great evertonian mate..

1.) 05 Apr 2015 22:49:17
And that's whyI said there's none so blind. Yes ED025 even you must have noticed the trend. Another win. Another stat to the incredible Ossie.

2.) 06 Apr 2015 01:02:50
Oh shut up degsy really like take a good look at yourself will ya in the nicest possible way I say that :)

3.) 06 Apr 2015 02:15:33
I think that's his best position, we tried him as an attacking midfielder, he was awful and as a holding midfielder last season and he was, well, destroyed to say the least. When on the left (tbf we've barely played with 2 wide men all season) it gives us an actual formation from the usual 8-1-1 formation. How many times this season have we had someone on the left and someone on the right? Very rarely and that's why we are winning games, we have a shape!

4.) 06 Apr 2015 15:06:28
This may upset Degsy but, on saturdays performance, Ossie was not at the races. He had one effort in the first minute, showed quick feet in one or two situations but, apart fom that, the game passed him by. I like Ossie, maybe not to the extent of a certain poster on here, but he has been a great servant to the club. That should not come in to the managers thinking when picking the team though. He should have been subbed at some point as he was not doing much in the second half, would have been nice to get someone with a bit more pace running at the full back in the last twenty minutes or so

5.) 08 Apr 2015 09:11:19
Spudv I agree with you. Although I often stick up for Ossie (because I feel he gets unfair abuse) I do understand his limitations and yes it was not his best game. I would have subbed him too. But the stats show that when he plays, we win or draw.and when he does not play. we lose. Bar 4 games this season. that rule applies. He obviously brings a balance to the team and although I realise he is on his last legs,he still plays a very important part within our squad. The middle of this season where we had no wins in 11 games was when he was out injured. enough said.

Thought there may have been a few more positive posts on here today but maybe I shouldn't be too surprised. Can't believe you can't give rom just a bit of credit ed025
Shame on you! ( average joe indeed)

Stewillow

{Ed025's Note - if he keeps banging them in i will ste, but i only give credit where its due...when he scores 30 in a season like bob latchford i will laud him up no end mate..

1.) 16 Mar 2015 19:46:04
'Bobby Latchford walks on water'

{Ed025's Note - my idol 247...what a guy..

2.) 16 Mar 2015 19:56:52
My era ed025, remember it well, Dave Thomas must have been king of assists! Let's hope he gets 20 odd this season mate, it would be Good return I reckon

{Ed025's Note - ahhh great times ste...walking down sleepers hill with my patchwork jumper, flemmings and air wear on, and two scarves tied around my wrists..and not a grey hair in sight.. :)

3.) 16 Mar 2015 20:31:58
I remember being behind the goal for his pen fantastic. Hard to believe it now but wasn't the final score 6-0 against Chelsea too. HOw times have changed. By the way leave Rom alone, even big Bob wouldn't score twenty with this tippy tap football?

{Ed025's Note - your right there woburn mate..

4.) 16 Mar 2015 20:37:33
Amen to that Woburn!

5.) 16 Mar 2015 21:02:52
Ive said all along rom is worth the 28 mill we paid I think teams always have to playto there strikers strengths and we avnt done that for most of our games but the games we have played to his strengths he has done superb and let's not forget he is only 21 crouch is a seasoned striker in the pl austin qpr play to his strengths and costa you can't compare him to many front men in the world let alone rom. I've said from day one rom will be world class an I teally bellive that. I could understand everyone getting on his bk if we played to his strengths an he never produced but we rearly do so give the kid a break an watch him shine every time we play his way

{Ed025's Note - he has had a bit of unfair stick shakey (myself included), its a symptom of the team not doing well i suppose, and him being the most expensive has not helped him as when a scapegoat is needed price matters, im sure that when we are safe he will become our darling again mate..

Forgot about Hibbo at left back, terrible decision. Don't blame garbutt for wanting out

Ed002 - how much time do you want?
you have been asked this twice recently and still not answered?
i see you never posted my question I asked you about a week ago. I doubt you will post this either which is quite annoying really. whatever happened to free speech?

stewillow

{Ed002's Note - I said I will do it when I have time - and I have very little time as I am very busy. The best way not to get something posted or to get a short term ban is to write childish dribble like "I bet you won't post this". As for "free speech", you know nothing of the subject at all.}

Swan, we need to get behind Ross & Rom & remember these are 2 young lads making there way in the game. The moans & jeers aimed at them at times is embarrassing. Our away support is fantastic but wish I could say the same when at Goodson. It's been a poor season let's just hope things improve on the summer

Stewillow

{Ed025's Note - i know how you feel ste, but this sort of thing happens at all clubs mate just visit the reds site and see, im afraid its the fickleness of the modern day fan who demands immediate success..

Barclay will go to a top club and then watch him flourish. Disgracefully treated by some of our so called fans. I said 2 years ago he will go for £60 mill and I stand by that. City would suit him down to the ground imo.if they win alligator all which is likely it may even be this summer. I hope he stays of course at least for a couple more seasons.

Totally agree ed025 you would think big joe would have a word with him wouldn't you? Along the lines of " listen gaffer stop chatting rubbish at press conferences, start practicing set pieces and can't we appoint weir as defensive coach

Stewillow

{Ed025's Note - you really would ste, i cant stop liking the guy but he does like to shoot himself in the foot mate..
