Further to my post down below. thanks for the positive comments Cowpat Sid and Ollie Jennings. I would add that the so called top 4 is actually potentially a top 6 or 7. When you consider that Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, The reds, Us, Man Utd, and Spurs are all capable of putting a winning run of a few games together. or alternatively any of the squads could lose an important player (Van Persie at Utd for example) that makes a team drop valuable points.then this leaves a situation where 3 clubs will invest heavily in order to gamble for Champions League qualification and get the financial returns that come with it. but actually will not get that return. What is very important for us is that we have hauled ourselves into this position without taking a gamble on ever increasing debt. I suspect that in the next 5 or 6 years one of these big clubs will file for bankrupcy in a similar fashion to Glasgow Rangers. The sums of 7 into 4 just do not fit.
I think we can rule out Arsenal going bankrupt IMO they are run on a very sound financial footing, much like ourselves. If for some reason the money left MC and Chelski they will be in all sorts of trouble. However, as things are at present Spuds have got to be the favourite to have some sort of money problems. It will be interesting to see their transfer strategy in the next window as they don't have another Bale to sell for stupid money. There may be a fair few of the current crop on the market
