How can anyone be surprised by what's happening (or not happening as the case maybe!) at our club these days?
{Ed025's Note - i have to say i am sid..after last season i thought we were on the right track mate, but it seems it was a false dawn..
Ed025: Last season, we must have been playing in the polar summer - 24 hours of daylight - and this season we've entered the Polar winter - 24/7 darkness.
{Ed025's Note - last season i was walking around like a proud pigeon sid, chest out and a permanent smile on my face, the grief i gave my red supporting mates was unmerciful, good times indeed...today the chest is deflated and the smile but a distant memory, im avoiding my mates like the plague for fear of retribution....sad times indeed mate.. :(
Ed025: Last season feels like a cruel joke on us - lulling us by frequent exhilarating football and some excellent results into mistakenly anticipating an imminent & long-hoped-for trophy-winning success. This season is when the joke is fully realised - and the punchline is the disaster of relegation.
Champions League? We were having a laugh.
Championship? We'll be having it tough.
