ED25. Do you think chelsea have crossed the line, to the point, that the club could make a formal conplaint to the FA about their conduct?

{Ed025's Note - chelsea have done nothing wrong JCW, they made an offer for a player and were told it was derisory, all everton had to say was "not available at any price" and its game over, as it is he is for sale and we are just haggling over the price mate..

Agree3 Disagree1

Stones will be sold but don't expect us to see too much of it maybe 8 million for another united reject. there's a 20 percent sell on to Stones former club and we still owe a large sum for Rom. The summer is turning out to be a disaster and still no stadium news. Will Goodison pass the required safety test this season?

22 Jul 2015 09:05:39
Complaining to the Fa over their conduct? Haha brilliant, Chelsea have done nothing wrong. Apart from the fact that they've bid for one of your players and you rejected it. Like the Ed said Martinez or anyone at Everton's hierarchy could have come out and simply said he's not for sale at any price. But they haven't, which means they just want more money.

22 Jul 2015 10:37:23
Or maybe it is that Everton don't feel they need to go to the press - or that Mourinho is full of shite as we all know her is. They have been told he is not for sale and go public with a bid - that is the cause of the annoyance and what demonstrates how Chelsea lack any form of decorum or class when it comes to respecting other clubs.

22 Jul 2015 11:22:48
Obviously Chelsea haven't done anything wrong and they are within their rights to put in any bid but according to reports Everton have already told Chelsea that he is not for sale are they seriously saying they want us to add "not at any price" at the end of it? because as we know all players have their price no matter who it is or what team they play for. Therefore the continued pursuit and poor attempts at humour from Mr Mourinho are as usual being done to unsettle the lad and try and make him agitate for a move. Unfortunately this is the football world we have now with the amount of cash sploshing around it. I just want us to stand strong and if Chelsea do want him make them pay for him like they did with us and Lukaku.

22 Jul 2015 14:16:40
Don't need to go to the press? Is that why Martinez came out and said something?!? Say he's not for sale full stop. Nips it in the bud. But no, being kenwright he will want the money. Plus it saves you paying us the outstanding money you owe for lukaku

22 Jul 2015 11:14:27
Ed025 and CFCAdam are just quoting what Jose said its pretty boring. The club sent them a letter saying he wasn't for sale as stated on club site and yas still bid for him anyway. It's BS even if a club doesn't want to sell he tries dirty tactics calling our club "small" hahaha Jose spitting his dummy out because he's not getting his own way we'll see come August

22 Jul 2015 18:12:44
All I have to say on this is Jose is a arrogant little greaseball we should tell him to do one

22 Jul 2015 21:07:59
the only reason Roberto said something was because the press were asking him questions maybe your Small plastic fans who like waving flags should learn No means No but no doubt your gangster owner will bid so much money Bill will accept the bid and make it public 1 minute before deadline day ends.

23 Jul 2015 09:27:07
Done nothing wrong? What about the public courting by Cahill and Terry?

They're a disgrace. Chelsea have, at every possible opportunity, belittled the club and tried to unsettle Stones.

Absolutely baffled how anyone can claim 'they've done nothing wrong'

{Ed025's Note - look alex, its a transfer window mate a time when clubs bid for other teams players...thats what chelsea have done!, now i dislike mourinho as much as the next guy but for me the fault is with everton...just 3 little words.."not for sale"..easy..

23 Jul 2015 20:44:16
@ed025, I'm sure words to that effect have been used but it sounds like they don't want to listen. It is definitely debatable whether they have done anything wrong, as you say they are entitled to bid for a player during the window, but the public courting of another teams player (after a bid has been turned down) is certainly questionable. I would report them if only to give us a bit of breathing space and time to sit down with JS and see what he is thinking. Whatever happens, the way their manager and its staff have gone about this shows they may have billions in the bank but they lack class.
@CFCadam, do you even know how transfers run? Yes we owe you money for Lukaku, in the same way you owe Barca for Cesc. If JS goes to you lot then that wouldn't wipe off the Rom debt as they are separate deals. We would expect cash so we could reinvest it to replace the player we lost. As for RM speaking out in the press, your manager forced this he had no option but to respond. If he hadn't he would run the risk of alienating our fans by keeping silent. How would you like it if Madrid came in for Hazard, bidding well below his transfer value that you refuse, yet they keep talking about him to the press? I'm sure you would kick off just as much as us

{Ed025's Note - you make some very good and valid points spud, im just cheesed off with the club for not giving chelsea a "not for sale" statement, we dont have to sell our best players roberto said and i took him at his word, i know he has not gone anywhere yet mate but the omens are scaring me to death with the underwhelming signings and speculation about our better players, it may not be squeaky bum time yet but it certainly does not fill me with much joy..

I agree ed and I believe him when he says that but Chelsea, in particular Jose, Cahill and Terry have stirred up the hornets nest by going public after being told no. They should have just asked if there was a price instead of resorting to these games. I think that Stones will still be with us at the end of the window for a couple of reasons. He knows he will be guaranteed first team football with us which is vital in the lead up to the euro's. We all know our board are frugal and I don't believe they will sell to the first bidder. Home grown players carry a premium these days, look at Shaw and Sterling for examples. If the lad has a solid season and plays himself in to the national team, then you can add city, united, possibly arsenal and the odd foreign team. Would our board sell now instead of letting these cash rich teams bid against each other? Obviously, my theory would be cut down if the lad puts in a transfer request but, until then, he is still our player.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he wants to leave spud, im just scared our board will find the 40 pieces of silver too tempting to turn down mate..but i would love to be wrong..

What everyone is missing here, including you Ed, is that Everton didn't send Chelski a letter knocking back the 20m,
they sent a letter stating that John Stones wasn't for sale.
Now I don't know about you but that, to me, should be final.
Any further offers by Chelski shouldn't even answered. We should treat them with the contempt they seem to treat everyone else.

{Ed025's Note - im hearing that not for sale was never mentioned by everton mike and thats what encouraged chelsea, but if you are right and we did say that then yes they are bang out of order!..

Switching to Mourinho's actions.I can honestly say that no-one likes a poor loser.but what is worst is a poor winner! lol
