No chance rm will play with 2 wingers either. He,s to negative. He wil play 2 holding mids and another holding mid on the wing (cleverly) and another cm (barkley) in the no 10 role and wil continue to play the slow boring football he played last season. sooner he goes the better

13 Aug 2015 22:10:15
i agree fozz wth is that about, he never plays 2 wingers, rather play someone out of position on the wing, I don't claim to be someone who knows it all regarding tactics but these tactics are mental, my 7 yr old son can even see it. rm is not good enough for us, he can't pick a balanced team, tactics are poor, and we have no fight, at least under moyes we were never out of a game, when we werew up against it we had a fight, rm 1st season was moyes solidarity and never say die attertude with a bit of freedom, now that moyes side has gone, we are a team everyone looks forward to playing. bring back moyes seriously

I disagree to an extent toffeeblue, away to Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea we were beaten before the game even started and there was no fight.

{Ed025's Note - im with you swan..

Rubbish under Moyes we threw away the chance to win the cup against Chelsea because once we scored it was defend defend defend. When all we had to do was carry on taking it to them. Moyes was scared of top 4/5 teams and convinced everyone that finishing 7th was an achievement. Move on.

{Ed025's Note - move on indeed mate..

And this bloke will spin and spin that finishing in the top 15 is an achievement. Look at his smug face at the end of last season after we finished 11th. I have seen Managers come and go and believe me this bloke is in the Walker class. We have some good young players at our Club but this bloke and his tactics is destroying their confidence before they have begun.

I can't understand the extent of the negativity towards RM. Yes, last season was disappointing, and some of the blame should be placed on the manager, however the amount of goals that we conceded due to lapses in concentration was ridiculous and our star players simply didn't perform at the levels of the previous season.
Some fans seem to have forgotten the quality of football that was played by Everton during the 13/14 season, which was brought to us by Martinez. I've never known a more satisfying season to be an Evertonian (I'm too young to remember the 80's), and I believe RM should be given every chance to get the team playing those levels of football again.

that season scooby, was not rm, it was mostly moyes squad his work ethic, fight and his teams beleif, rm brought a bit of freedom as a result a great season, now though ethic togetherness and beleif have gone, resulting in last season, and I might point out to swan under moyes we mainly challanged for europe, in my eyes that's better than challanging for 10th and I am not saying moyes is the answer but right now I would have him over rm anyday. I don't rate rm in anyway at all, we look like wigan and tbh play worse than they did wqhen they were in prem.

I agree with most of what you say toffeeblue. You don't believe Moyes is the answer? Well he most certainly was when he first came to Everton! Imo too many people give out about Moyes. Same people must have very short memories. David Moyes was at Everton for a long period and steadily brought the club from relegation dog fights every year to competing for Europe every year. When he took over Eveton were in dire straits. Bottom of the league and looking very poor roughly half way through the league if I'm not mistaken. As far as I remember the first thing he done was make Big Dunc captain. Since then up until he left he was very shrewd in the transfer market. As I said took Everton from relegation contenders to European contenders on a budget that almost no order managers could manage on. Even Alex Ferguson said that. Bill Kenwright got it spot on with Moyes and between them they took Everton to as high up the league as they could. What do people expect Everton to compete with the money the rest are spending with the budget they have? The only Everton could of possibly got better than how Moyes done is if a big multi billionaire came in like Man City. Jury still out for Martinez in my opinion. Defence is a concern. Ok, rant over. Remember where we came from!

i agree completly nbtb, I did not say I don't believe moyes is the answer I said am not saying he is, personally, I liked the guy and was pissed off when he left, and I would have him back. if am honest I wish he never left.

Thank god there's some Evertonians who remember what David Moyes done for the club. God knows where we'd be now if he had not taken over all them years ago.

I am also in support of what was achieved during the Kenwright and Moyes period.
I know some Man U fans who recognised Moyes as being a good manager and believe the reason it didn't work out at Utd was not Moyes fault. You can give the manager all the funds he asks for to buy players but at the same time you have to know that manager is a good one in ALL aspects of the job. At the moment that is not convincing enough to have more funds irrespective whether the money is there or not.
It was Moyes who brought the likes of Coleman and Stones etc to the club, I wait to see if the present one can achieve the same.
