I hate Martinez

Bill your ambition is going to show here, I have always backed him but if he don't have the balls to sack a man that is destroying us then I can't defend him no more
How can he publicly defend him, Bill your his boss not best mate, as a fan you should be sick to the stomach, a trip to Wembley don't make things ok.

New manager, players in dead wood out and stadium needed fast.

How can you even think about giving him a chance let a lone money

I hope the reports of Carrick at 34 and players in lower leagues are lazy media talk.
Or is Bobby still at Wigan

I can't take one more season and we are falling behind, West Ham getting £1 billion in next few years off there stadium advertising, I don't know how by the way since they don't own it but they get to keep money for things that happen there other than footy. Work that out.

{Ed025's Note - hate is a terrible word pb, the guy is not doing a very good job i agree but hatred of him is far too strong mate, dont believe all you read in the press either as stories are made up to get a reaction and sell newspapers..

Agree8 Disagree1

27 Mar 2016 21:03:04
How has Bill still got controll? As I have ask before was it the best deal for our club or the best deal for Bill?

{Ed025's Note - both i would say stig..

27 Mar 2016 23:06:35
Bill deserves every penny he gets imo. God, you'd swear he had nothing better to be doing over the last 15+ years than to be chairman of Everton.

Those people who give out about him, can you's answer me one question. When Bill took the reins who else wanted to do it? Ok, a few more questions, who else would do a better job?

The answer to both is no one! Why? Because Everton was in that bad of shape at the time no one would touch the club with a bargepole. BK through hard work and very thankless work kept this great club going with financial difficulties.

How he managed to do it is a mystery to me. I'm talking about the manner. Now with the squad we have and a secure future with our new owner imho BK should get a massive reward. Given a knighthood or ordained a saint, whatever.

Imho he deserves every penny he gets. Personally I hope he makes loads of profit from it. Done amazing work and I for one am grateful for everything he done. I've been accused of backing Moyes too much.

I'll tell you both men done more for this club since the turn of the century than almost anyone done for any club in EPL bar only Wenger probably. For that I am eternally grateful.

28 Mar 2016 09:31:55
Great support of bill. with moyes they both done a great job under difficult conditions. times are hopefully changing for our club but things won't happen instantly, as ed02 has pointed out we have new investment that is all and now need to rebuild from scratch in the marketing and financing of ground etc. We have a young core of players with some experience ones and need to let them gel, let the new investor assess things, it will take time and will everyone stop winghing like are neighbours both ends of the lancs.

28 Mar 2016 09:52:44
Bill is not you Dad is he NBTB lol, look at the con over Bellefield for Finch Farm mate?

28 Mar 2016 10:28:09
Ha stig no not my father unfortunately. Imagine if he was, the players and Goodison would be like my family and home 😊

All I know stig is Bill done a good job at Everton for the club. That's good enough for me. Just look at the fella that was there before him.

alwaysblue I'm aware success will not come over night. The club was in bad shape when BK took over. Putting it mildly it's in a very healthy state now. We were very lucky not to get relegated for a couple of years.

Now we have a very good squad which has players who are young and very valuable. New investor. A person in any job should be judged on if the leave the company / job in a better position than they got it in.

BK and Moyes also certainly done that. That's what's important for me and that's they way they should be remembered imho.

28 Mar 2016 11:26:27
Agree. I can remember 1993 head in hands when limpar handled in the box. johnson arrived that summer promising never again, then force fire damage sales and nearly took us down a few years later. The treatment kendall got that summer before smith arrived was a discrace. At least bk has never treated anyone like this. Stig Finch farm was sold and rented back to raise funds to keep us a float. would rather this way of running our club rather than debts under glazers and co.

28 Mar 2016 11:45:26
(Stig Finch farm was sold and rented back to raise funds to keep us a float) do you honestly believe that mate?

28 Mar 2016 12:27:27
Didn't Johnson appoint Joe Royle, who won us a trophy, and also broke the club's transfer record 3 times in 3 consecutive years, and also built the club's Megastore? The point is, there were a few things he did right. In the same way Kenwright has done a few things right, and lot of things wrong/ badly too. Making out Johnson is this 'worst owner' and that Kenwright is so much better is such a simplistic and untrue argument.
Did you know.?

That when Peter Johnson sold the club, he sold it for virtually the price he bought it for, and actually made a loss.

According to Clifford Finch anyway

28 Mar 2016 13:15:17
Stig, there is nothing PJ done with us that was good, do you even remember them days? To compare him to BK is daft. Under PJ we were perennial relegation fodder although we did win the cup. He tried to sell players without the managers knowledge, remember Dunc being flogged to Newcastle behind Walters back? The man allegedly 'stole' cash from us and Tranmere over the signing of Simonsen so there is no comparison between the two men whatsoever. PJ would have sold us on at a loss because he had been backed into a corner and everybody wanted him out, he took the 20m and ran. Bear in mind it seems he had an interest in Tranmere at the same time he had us, totally against the rules stated by the fa.
You are getting your wish that BK is bought out so why still fire shots at him? Within 18 months FM will have become the owner outright, BK is still on board to help him get used to EFC. The future looks bright and BK, as nbtb says, has left us in a far better state for FM to take us forward than he was left when he took over.

28 Mar 2016 13:32:02
Johnson took the club to the brink, sold players behind managers back and made a healthy profit during his time in charge. even if he did sell for price he bought, whilst making a profit from tranmere if memory serves me correct. although officially his other half was chairperson. Additionally the prem league has become much more competitive in bills time than it ever was in johnsons day. transfer fees are higher, players wages are much higher. especially if trying to convince a player to sign for a non-European football playing side. Bill does have a blind side with respect to managers, but I suspect that his say and influence will not save Martinez if moshiri and fans are not happy. Under his tenure I believe the debt has been significantly reduced, some of the cheapest season tickets in league, broke the bank on Andy Johnson, yak, fellaini, McCarthy, lukaku, to name but a few, and although we have no assets other than players and Goodison. I don't profess to know all the ins and outs of the club but I can't help but feel we're on the up and largely to Bill kenwright. let's not forget Lord granchester is a billionaire . and from what I can gather has done very little, yet bk has. Let's give the man respect and hope he takes his roberto blinkers off.

28 Mar 2016 13:59:06
Johnson was still taking money from the megastore well after he left. your right about the 3 big signing but they were balance out with sales. Dacourt came and went, tony thomas also came from tranmere as well in a dodgy deal. Ok bk has had his moment but at least he tried to do his best for our club. Why did joe royle walk out if johnson was a saint.

28 Mar 2016 16:11:57
Ed the first post here you say the word hate of Martinez is to strong, I wish you where right.
I hate him because he has not only conned Kenwright with his talk but he has conned my fellow Evertonians for to long. Ok 90%of you are waking up now and want RM out, I wanted him out from day one, I wish I had been proved wrong. I have fallen out with many personal friends in the last couple of years because of RM.
This is personally very sad for me, but at least one has apologised to me and will go to matches again with me.
Unfortunatly as far as we know BK is still blinded by this false profit,

{Ed025's Note - hes a guy who tried to do a job but has failed milomj i dont think you can hate anyone for that mate, try not to take things so much to heart and i know its difficult but its not life and death..some will say its more serious.. :)

28 Mar 2016 16:46:43
Who said Johnson was a saint? all I am saying is Bill is a playwriter, (Thank You Bill Kenwright Plane Banner? ) we had not seen him for months but he turned up for that game, lol, I don't ask anyone to believe what I say, just keep open minded about him?

28 Mar 2016 17:08:05
Jcl1878, I 100% agree with every letter of that post. Especially, 'I don't profess to know all the ins and outs of the club'. I'm obviously in the same boat as that as 99.9% of supporters are.

It's as good a post as I've seen here before.

28 Mar 2016 17:13:40
Yes stig, PJ didn't do all bad. He done some things right. We all do things right and wrong. There is none of us perfect and no matter who is chairman they are going to make some mistakes.

Its simple for me. PJ didn't improve the club in his time. Imho he left it worse off. Done things right and wrong but generally made things worse.

BK left the club far better off than he got it. Obviously because he's not perfect done some things wrong and some things right but overall done as good a job if not better than anyone would of done.

Club future looks very good. It certainly didn't when BK took over. That's good enough for me.

28 Mar 2016 17:22:22
Cheers NB. the good thing about this site is that most of the time everyone can share their opinion without too much flack. somewhere in the middle lies the truth I guess.

28 Mar 2016 17:26:37
(BK left the club far better off than he got it) but has he gone? LOL, let's hope you are all right mates, DON'T forget we all love our club, see you on the Live chat on Sunday NBTB mate, all are welcome, its EDs round, lol.

{Ed025's Note - we all have our own views stig thats the beauty of it mate..

28 Mar 2016 17:33:51
Yea Jcl1878 as Ed025 says its all about opinions. Don't like when people don't appreciate what others do though. That's just me. Not everyone's cup of tea. I'm well aware of that.

{Ed025's Note - certainly mine mate..

28 Mar 2016 17:39:08
Agree, some good posts for both sides of the arguement. depending on are age groups we will always have different veiws of past and present. neither were perfect but as nbtb said we appear in a better state than when pj left.

{Ed025's Note - aston villa are in a better state than PJ left us ab..

28 Mar 2016 17:51:41
For the record stig don't think any less of you or anyone for not agreeing with my view. Sunday it is stig. Decent thread this and good posts by all.

28 Mar 2016 18:08:35
Same here mate, I love it when we all have different views, we are not robots, LOL.

28 Mar 2016 22:29:56
Exterminate.

28 Mar 2016 23:08:45
Wasn't Peter Johnson a boyhood Liverpool fan? That was always a concern for me when he became chairman!
