I can imagine that some transfers drag out to the end - or only arise at the end - of the window because sellers/ buyers want the best deals and are waiting to see who blinks first.
That and other deals in the chain may have to be in place.
Or it's last-minute panic buys.
Whatever the reason, Everton must NOT leave any January incoming transfers until the very end of the window.
We need cover for Gana and Bolasie from the start of January at the very least.
Money's no longer an issue - financial fair play notwithstanding - so although we'd like to negotiate good value, we have to stump up or forget about getting the right quality.
I want he deals in place now and those deals officially completed at the start of January.
Anyone really believe that will happen - or will Everton drag its heels as in the past?
{Ed002's Note - January is a difficult time to do business as clubs don't want to sell and those players involved in Europe don't want to move. However, this January is going to see a number of the "leading" European clubs doing some significant business. It is fair to say that Everton will eb looking at making changes in January but they may not be able to bring in teh players they want and common sense dfictates waiting until the summer rather than buying for the sake of it. Certainly they have declared an interest in a number of players but that itself generally means little. So right now it is a little bit of a lottery and with the recent ins and outs on the scouting front there may yet be a change of direction.}
