If RK'S latest comments about transfers is correct then it looks like it could be a busy January for us.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so smit..

If it's reported correctly then it is very encouraging what he says about both him and Walsh being in a position to know what they want in the team. I think the mistakes of the summer won't be repeated in January.
Good times ahead.

He is also level headed and admitted what Ed (s) and shall we say the more pessimistic/ realists among us have said. If other Prem League Clubs in better league positions and perceived better prospects than us go in for the same players, then we will struggle to persuade them to come to us. It will be a case of having to pay over the odds in fees and wages.

That is what we pay Walsh the big bucks for. He is renowned for finding good value players before they blossom. Nobody seemed interested in Gana and look how he is performing for us. Another 3 or 4 of them would be great for us, and save us a boat load of money.

Looks like Barkley could be going he's on the bench again today easy away win what do you think Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe that it is a precursor to selling him, it is more about giving him a boot up the backside.}

666 not aware any mistakes were made in the Summer, we wanted Koeman so had to be patient, when we got him it was late in the transfer window, then we went after a DoF and got the man we wanted but again very late on. Agree with Ed001 vis a vis a boot up the backside for Barkley, it was his ball that led to our first goal today.

By mistakes I mean the late panic bids for sissoko and Yarmolenko which came to nothing thankfully. Get some in early if possible.
