Papers linking Sunderland with both Gibson and Oviedo.
If true then hopefully it comes off as we could do with clearing out players that seem surplus to requirements.

We do need cover for Baines for the rest of the season so Oviedo should be kept until the next window then sold.

If we are playing 3 at the back then Bryan is capable enough to cover for Baines if its a back 4 then not so much.

If Oviedo did go there are other options, Barry could do a stint if Baines got a knock or bring in Robinson perhaps

Think that might be the first time in a while I have seen someone bring up Robinson. Personally I think he's a quality player. definitely need a replacement for baines within the next 12-18 months at the most and he fits the bill for me

Saw Galloway play there against Stoke when they beat us. Up until that day, I thought perhaps he had the makings, but he was given a right roasting. He disappeared off the scene pretty quickly.
