Latest reports are saying we’re linked with 3 players, Eder Militao (RB) , Ndombele (CM) , and Thorgan Hazard (LW) . Is there truth in any of these Ed?

{Ed002's Note - (1) I am not aware of any Everton interest in Eder Militao. Two English sides interested in the summer knew they would need to pay well over the odds if he was to move to England in order to get a work permit. That hasn't changed and I don't see a move to Everton as an option at all. (2) Hot off the press is that Lyon say they have not spoken with Everton about the player at all. They are aware that many clubs including Barcelona, PSG, etc. have been looking at their players including Ndombele but they will only sell one player of note this summer and it would be under theri terms - this is the approach they have used for some years. They have spoken with three sides - PSG who were told they cannot afford him, Spurs and Manchester City. You would need to ask why, even if he were available, he would leave a club doing well and playing in the Champions League for Everton? So it is reasonable to assume Everton has looked at him, but I think any move would be unlikely. (3) I am not aware of any Everton approach for Thorgan Hazard who is playing well in Germany for a side doing well, and also playing in the Champions League. He turned down a move to an English side last year and I can't see what would attract him to leave the Champions League and success in Germany to join Everton. Given all of that, pretty much the last thing Everton need is yet another LW.}

I think we should be looking for a striker as our no1 and probably a promising right to to bed in to replace Coleman in he coming years.

{Ed002's Note - Everton has been looking for a striker.}

Cheers Ed, as you said though, unless we achieve something tangible this season it'd be hard for any of those players to have their heads turned by us given their current situations. The "one player of note" wouldn't be Fekir would it? Seems like they are resigned to losing him.

{Ed002's Note - Any one player of note - Fekir, Ndombele, Aouar, Depay.}
