One thing Everton need to do is build a squad before we start building the stadium. Look at the effect it has had on spurs transfers in the summer they spent zero but because they had a decent squad it didn’t effect them. We can’t expect us to build a stadium and still go out and splash money because FFP won’t allow that so I’d say we’ve got 4/ 5 windows to assemble a decent squad to challenge the top 6. We can’t expect to be a big club because of the past.

Yes we might be a household name but there are at least 6 bigger clubs than us in this country who have been and still are doing better than us. The past cannot be changed so we as fans need to look to the future with the current owner and his ideas and back them starting at the ground the fans play a big part in games too and I am afraid Goodison isn’t what it was 6 years ago it’s so quiet and a lot of groaning.

I think we are a lot of the players we are targeting are younger players. Who will develop while we have limited funds.

Eddy, we are a very poor average team still, we've spent around 380 million, nothing going to happen for us, gk, useless, cm 1 out of 3 and forwards none, same every year, crap, and manager wise, anyone of us reading to do the same job.

Groffo realists like us will not be disappointed that's for sure we may be surprised one day but not with Siva in charge, and Moshiri needs better advise on picking managers.

Not what you spend Berkshire but who and what calibre you buy. You raise City but before Fair Play (whatever that is supposed to mean) , it didn't matter a jot to them or Chelsea (before Abravomic had enough) . As one of the Ed's says, you really need to understand how the system works. All I know is that since Moyes, I think I am right no Manager has had a better win percentage. Indicates two things:- A. Money is not always the answer and B. The best thing for an owner is to seek certain (as near as damn) good advice. All I have seen is an owner/ Chairman allowing the fans to influence their thinking and reaction. This is a multi-million/ billion £/ $ business it needs head above heart. The only exception (maybe) is City, with undefined deep pockets. Whoever the person is under the moniker of Ed002, they speak very good sense. We finished 8th last season and that was down to Alardyce and nobody else. The bloke is professional, doesn't have to love his employer, just do his best job and he did that. If you want to win or more importantly not lose, you first of all have to protect what you have and to achieve that, you have to work damn hard. I will be there tomorrow as I am/ have been at all home games with the exception of illness/ holidays and far more important than a game, Family, for some many years, as usual heart will be in mouth, all intelligence of thought and sense will depart and the will for my Team to win forego everything else for some 2 hrs.
