Hey Ed 025 just been reading that there are calls from some to name the stands at our New Stadium after Everton Greats including Dixie Dean, Duncan Ferguson and Howaed Kendall are the three linked at the mo, what about one to be named after Bill Kenright in recognition of all that he has done for our Club, a True Blue what do reckon mate.
{Ed025's Note - i will have dixie, howard and bill GB, but duncan does not belong anywhere near those 3 mate, bill would be right up there for me i have to say..

Seriously though, two that have been over looked is the Neville Southall stand, behind one goal and for me have to have a Gwladys in it, whether Gwladys waterside stand or another title, nothing in players or managers has more history than our famous home end.

They should name the main stand The Big Nev. Not many of our players could have been called the best in the world in their position. Big Nev was though.

Agree if you start with players there will be calls for a Tim Cahill, Tony Hibbert, Peter Reid to mention a few the list would be so many great players for the Club.

Don't forget Harry Catterick. I would have fours stands. The Gwldays Stand, The Kendall Stand, The Catterick Stand and The Kenwright Stand (Moores has already had a stand named after him) .
After that I would name the tiers after great players like The Dean Tier, Southall Tier etc. Other players names could be on seats perhaps. Just a thought.

It was John Moores junior who bank rolled Liverpool Fancy Smith, after his dad had passed away, can hardly blame John Moores for that.

Duncan Ferguson is a big no from me, would put all the eighties title winning players before him, including Mick Lyons who bust a gut for our club.
Then you have Gordon West, Alex Young, Roy Vernon, Bernie Wright, just kidding on Wright, but too many for the four stands, unless like a fellow poster mentioned but have blocks and sections named instead of Park end one, Park end 2 section etc, name the blocks after them.

{Ed001's Note - that sounds good to me as about as neutral as can be. Kendall is a genuinely nice guy who does a lot for charity. Yes he has his problems, but how many of us don't? And he loves Everton and was a great manager for the club in his first spell. He definitely deserves it.}

As Howard Kendall is well respected as an ex player, manager and having a stand named after him, would it not be good idea to have him together with Alan Ball and Colin Harvey represented. The holy trinity.

Why not call it the No 9 Legends stand then you can inscribe the names as required Dixie first then.
