David henen and brendon Galloway to be announced by tuesday. Both into u21s. Henen 1.5m Galloway 1m+ add ons rising to 2 million. From same source that broke the jimmy mac rumour. He is still saying utd want him for 10-15 million and cleverly.

I thought McCarthy signed a new contract at the end of the season, or am I wrong in saying that?

Totally agree ed025. I would rather have an average player giving it 100%. Than a great player giving it 50%

Every player has a price - and whilst we would not want to lose lukaku - or Barkley - and maybe Barry at this time, I would say everyone else has a price and can be replaced

It depends on whether the McCarthy money would be enough - and whether its just getting swallowed - or if its being reinvested in another player we really wanted - we're reasonably well stocked in centre mid now - but we really need another top flight striker - so if McCarthy was sold to bring in someone like Bony I would not mind - lukaku plus another top rated striker would be awesome

Whatever happens I trust Martinez to know what he's doing

I agree that McCarthy is replaceable, in fact I suspect it's the reason Besic was brought in in be first place with Gibbo as back up. If we could get £30m and spend £20m on maybe Remy and one other it might be good business.

I reckon its all tosh, Macca appeared really happy at the blues and he loves Roberto. Perhaps his agent is wanting a bit extra cash in his new contract which was supposed to be negotiated during the summer. Watch the club make a announcemet of a new extended contract for McArthy in next 10 days that's my gut feeling.
