Getting bored of this long shortlist for the not yet vacant managers job at out club so I think they should just dig wyatt earp and jesse James up and let them have a shootout at high noon on St George's Hall steps to see who will manage the club. the winner gets to shoot Bobby. Haha.

God I am bored. hahaha.

{Ed002's Note - If you are bored then go and look up Georges-Kevin NKoudou of Marseille, Everton will be looking at him again Saturday night. I suspect they will look again at Nicolas N'Koulou as well, he is available in the summer as a free agent, although a couple of other Premier League sides are beginning to push for him.}

is that nkodou any good ed.

{Ed002's Note - Georges-Kevin N'Koudou of Marseille is very well thought of Brett amd perhaps a youngster who will move in the summer to one of the many clubs who have looked at him - including Everton, Crystal Palace, Valencia, Southampton, West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester United. Perhaps a little raw still but certainly one for teh future. Marseille would certainly be open to a very high and over the odds offer but right now their focus is on working out some internal issues.}

Strong rumour is Bobby is gone after seasons end.

Eddie Howe is the very strong contender with some saying deal is already done.

Bobby has been very down since the Anfield debacle and knows the games up.

Hi Ed, I had seen a report with Le10 Sport claiming it would be around £15m to Nkoudou away, does seem a good talent from the clips I have seen and I read he has 10 goals this season which is a nice return for a left winger

Are there others you know we are watching Ed?

{Ed002's Note -

Forwards:

Shani Tarashaj will arrive from Grasshoppers.

AZ's Vincent Janssen has attraacted a great deal of attention with his performances this season with van Gaal having scouts watch him on several occasions and Schalke 04 doing the same. Everton have approached AZ regarding Janssen knowing that they will almost certainly lose Lukaku in the summer. The player knows that if he does move he needs to be playing every week or his potential international career could hit a stumbling block. An offer for the player Everton is looking reasonably likely.

Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Arsenal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club. Inter will push to agree a summer move as they don't have the money for a January transfer unless they can offload Icardi. Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched.

Arkadiusz Milik only joined Ajax on a permanent basis in April 2015 and already they have rejected offers from both RB Leipzig and Augsburg and have told other interested clubs (Napoli, Everton, Inter Milan, Olympic Marseille, Leicester and Real Sociedad) that he is not for sale.

CSKA Moscow are willing to sell Ahmed Musa but have placed a very high price on the player who is interesting Leicester, Manchester United and Everton. The player wants Arsenal.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both been aware of Moussa Dembele since his time at PSG and were both interested in signing him when he opted for Fulham as a 16 year old. Newcastle, Lille, Juventus, Napoli, Everton and Spurs have also been looking at Dembele since the start of the season with recent glances from Manchester City, Liverpool, Wolfsburg, Chelsea, Marseille and Monaco. A move in January was possible but Spurs wanted to loan him back to Fulham and that scuppered the deal. With his contract running out at the end of the season Slavisa Jokanovic would like to have him sign an extension, no doubt advising him that if he moves he could be sat on the bench or playing in the reserves. Wolfsburg are hedging their bets by pushing ahead with an alternate player whilst working to see if a deal can be done for Dembele. Monaco may well already have put an offer directly to the player and will seek a pre-contract agreement. Chelsea will look to take him on and loan him out. The player needs to decide what the best move is for him and take some decent advice.

Sporting Lisbon are open to selling Islam Slimani at the right price and the prior interest of West Ham and Crystal Palace has been revived. Previous interest from Fiorentina, Napoli, Fenerbahce, Aston Villa, Norwich and Bordeaux appears to have gone. Leicester, Shalke, Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Spurs, Udinese, Everton and Borussia Dortmund have scouted the player recently. If an offer close to the asking price is made it is possible a deal can be done this Summer for the striker. They were asking close to €30M and rejected a €17M offer from an English side out of hand in January. So perhaps €25M would work. Liverpool will likely not pursue their interest.}

Centre Backs:

Matty Foulds from Bury will be available.

Sporting Gijon's Bernardo Espinosa has been watched by a number of clubs this season including Watford, Brentford and Everton and is another out-of-contract at te end of the season. Injured right now, his agent told a Colombian radio station that Spurs will be his destination in the summer - it seems an unlikely thing to me and I have no knowledge of Spurs interest. One to wait and see.

PSG's Presnel Kimpembe has played well enough in the junior side to get some opportunities for the first team and to attract the interest of Monaco, Everton, Sampdoria and Torino.

N'koulou was looked at by a number of sides including Arsenal, Lyon, Norwich, West Ham and Napoli with a view to a summer 2015 move. Marseille did expect interest from Lyon to lead to an offer but they may well be hedging their bets to pick him up when his contract runs out in the summer of 2016. Four clubs held discussions with Marseille that could have lead to an offer being made in January to take the player. Roma were very keen on adding another centre back in January, Chelsea who had been having on-going discussions over two other matters with MArseille, Spurs who were non-committal and Lazio. Lazio have told Marseille that they are looking for a pre-contract agreement to take the player when he is out of contract in the summer - but Marseille explained he would be available for a small fee in January if they were interested - but they weren't. Leicester, Inter, Schalke, Valencia, Manchester United, Everton, Norwich and Arsenal have watched the player this season and it is not out of the question that one could step in and make an offer - my ex-wife suggests that Leicester are likely to make an offer but is surprised that no one has already sought a pre-contract agreement with him.

Leicester City and Hertha Berlin (who have a sustained interest) have looked at Dragovic recently but an offer from Leicester was rejected in January. There has been previous interest in the two-footed player from Monaco, Manchester United, Roma, Arsenal and Inter, with Arsenal pressing his agent on a number of occasions - but that has seemingly gone. Dinamo Kiev are keen to keep hold of the player but know that it may prove difficult. I understand that Dragovic might just be an option for Everton if Stones leaves but I also expect Leicester to return with another offer for the summer.

Schalke, Leicester City, West Ham and Hertha Berlin (who have a sustained interest) have looked at Dragovic recently but an offer from Leicester was rejected in January and they are looking elsewhere. There has been previous interest in the two-footed player from Monaco, Manchester United, Roma, Arsenal and Inter, with Arsenal pressing his agent on a number of occasions - but that has all seemingly gone. Dinamo Kiev are keen to keep hold of Dragovoic but know that it may prove difficult. I understand that Dragovic might just be an option for Everton if Stones leaves but I also expect he will have options once formal offers are made.

Milan's Christian Zapata will be available and Besiktas has tentatively agreed a summer move to Turkey. If that doesn't happen, he might provide a solution for Everton if they were to lose a centre back. Everton has watched the player this season.

Midfield:

Manchester City, Atletico, Spurs and Valencia have all previously declared an interest in Gokhan Tore with Atletico having made two offers to take him as a replacement for Arda Turan in the summer. I would think any Manchester City bid is dependent on David Silva moving on and that has gone for now. Valencia will probably not now follow up on their interest. Spurs interest remains but will likely go nowhere. Besiktas said that they are not looking to sell him over the winter window but were open to further discussions over making an agreement for a summer move to Atletico Madrid - and further discussions are scheduled but I suspect their interest is waning. Besiktas say they have not been approached by West Ham United with any offer to take Tore back to London but are aware of their interest. They have admitted that Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal (again) have watched the player in recent months.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Bernard has been looked at.

Bournemouth has a declared interest in Lewis Cook and had an offer rejected in January. Everton and Stoke have also been watching the player.

Interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet has run hold and cold for a while and the likes of Ajax, Southampton, Newcastle, Hoffenheim and Dynamo Moscow have moved on in the past year. Both Sevilla and Valencia had offers rejected in the summer whilst Aston Villa were also being kept informed by Anderlecht of any approaches for the player, but there is no way the player will want to move there and they won't have that sort of money to spend on one player. Juventus were represented at a couple of games but were, I understand, unconvinced by the player - but I suspect interest will continue knowing that his value might well tumble as his contract is running down. Fiorentina has had several meetings with representatives of the player and Anderlecht - and were seemingly getting to the point where an agreement over a January transfer could be reached but interest in another player has given them an unexpected twist to deal with and they are now out of the picture. Arsenal has again looked at him in recent weeks, once they knew that there could be a January bid from elsewhere, but I am not aware of them taking it any further just yet. I understand that Liverpool are again interested in the Praet, and it is a player Klipperty would like. Praet may well provide more versatility than others as he has the ability to play as a winger as well. Everton (again), Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund have also been showing recent interest.

Inter's Marcelo Brozovic has been made available to raise funds with the club offering him to Spurs, Everton, Arsenal (who previously tried to sign him from Dinamo Zagreb) and Chelsea. Villarael and Barcelona have been watching him as well. Inter were looking to replace him with Grujic but have lost out there. Arsenal's interest remains and an early bid is expected.

Bournemouth has a declared interest in Lewis Cook and had an offer rejected in January. Everton and Stoke have also been watching the player.

Goalkeeper:

Real Betis' Antonio Adan returned to Spain after citing problems settling in Italy. He has certainly attracted the attention of scouts from a number of teams this season with Everton, Southampton, Marseille, Sunderland and Newcastle all paying attention as far as Betis understand. I am not aware of any declared interest from Liverpool although he has been scouted. The club will certainly be looking for a replacement for Bogdan in the summer and Adan would give Mignolet a better run for his money. Adan would also be much cheaper than ter Stegen who seems to be the one the supporters want. Marseille may drop their interest in the light of something going on in the background. If Sunderland were to be relegated then I would discount them. What I don't know is if the player would want to leave southern Spain for England.

Whilst Everton did have Dnipro's Denys Boyko watched I am not aware of any Everton interest beyond that and in January the player moved to Besiktas - and that ended Roma's interest. His Besiktas career hit the rails very quickly after a couple of very poor performances and he finds himself on the bench. Whether Besiktas will let him leave quickly will depend on their recruitment of a replacement but his agent is touring the English clubs trying to get interest in players.

Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has been watched by Everton and Marseille who are looking to replace Howard and Mandanda in the summer. Previously he was of interest to Manchester United.

Newcastle were previously interested in taking Tom Heaton from Burnley to replace Tim Krul but didn't need to in the end. I understand an enquiry has also been made by Crystal Palace and Everton have had him watched.

Mainz's Loris Karius transfer was linked with Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Schalke and Valencia in 2015. He previously played for Manchester City and now plays for the club supported and at one time managed by Klipperty. However, whilst he will obviously know him well, and he is one of a number of up-and-coming goalkeepers across Europe, he is not a player Liverpool has shown any interest in. Everton have looked at him on several occasions and Dortmund are looking for a replacement for Weidenfeller who can push Burki and are again looking at Karius. Spurs looked whilst there were concerns over Lloris not renewing his contract.

Several sides have been looking at Sirigu. Bordeaux, Everton, Torino, Milan, Monaco and Roma have all declared an interest at one level or another in the past 6 months in addition to those clubs that have made direct approaches to PSG or the agent of the player. Approaches to his agent from Lazio and Trabzonspor were rejected and it was made clear in January that he is not interested in a relegation fight with Aston Villa or Newcastle. Juventus will certainly look to put an attractive offer on the table, but the player may want to step in to a first choice position.

Marseille's Steve Mandanda is out of contract in the summer and Marseille would ideally like a new deal. They would not to sell in January as it would have given them a goalkeeping issue they don't want. There has been no approach made to Marseille by Liverpool but he could be considered going forward. Everton have scouted and have asked for discussions with the player and his representative but at this time the player is not keen on having his season disrupted and is happy to wait until the end of the season before any talks or decisions. Both Aston Villa and Newcastle made approaches in January that were rebuffed. Monaco has informed his agent that they are interested in Mandanda. A couple of points of note: SM is happy at Marseille but not being in the Champions League next season will be an issue if a Champions League club come along. He won’t be interested in being anything other than first choice.

Roma and Everton have watched Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello who was previously of interest to Milan and Bournemouth. There is however a difficulty as another club have an option on the player and that option would need to be bought out to make a transfer possible.

Sevilla's Sergio Rico has watched by Liverpool, Barcelona and Everton in several ganes this season.

Winger:

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou of Marseille is perhaps a youngster who will move in the summer to one of the many clubs who have looked at him - including Everton, Crystal Palace, Valencia, Southampton, West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester United. Marseille would certainly be open to a very high and over the odds offer but right now their focus is on working out some internal issues.

Braga's Rafa Silva has been of interested to Benfica, Everton, Southampton, Wolfsburg and Schalke for a number of months. Arsenal, West Ham, Real Betis, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille and Spurs have had him watched but to the best of my knowledge not enquired further at this time. Notably, Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester United have watched in a number of games this season. Braga will be looking to a summer auction and hoping the renewed interest from Liverpool and Manchester United lead them to make substantial offers.

Midtjylland's Pione Sisto has drawn scouts from Everton, Leicester, Ajax, Valencia, Southampton, Barcelona, Manchester City, Marseille and West Ham this season. Prior interest of Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Rennes and Monaco has seemingly gone.

Dynamo Kyiv managed to persuade Yarmolenko not to move this past summer and managed to get him to sign a new contract. There has been interest over the past year from Roma, Spurs, Stoke, Fiorentina, Everton, Inter and Dortmund. Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, Napoli and Manchester City all dropped their interest and PSG, who were considering Yarmolenko as a possible option to replace Lavezzi this past summer, seem to have done the same. Yarmolenko has expressed a desire to move to Barcelona or Chelsea - and there has been more than one approach made directly to the Chelsea to gauge their interest. Right now I would discount Barcelona. Whilst an approach was made to the agent of Yarmolenko by Arsenal in the summer, nothing could be done. He spent the summer screwing everyone around and there is still a lingering view he could do the same again. I don't know if anything can be done by Everton, Arsenal or even Barcelona, but Piero Ausilio was at a game to look again at him earlier in the year - so Inter might still be in the mix, but money will be an issue for them. Again, interest of Dortmund may remain. So for now everything is up in the air - but interest will begin to drop away if he again drags everything out. A representative of Prostar has been doing the rounds in Turkey and England recently regarding their charges - particularly two other players. I am not aware of anyone raising anything regarding Yarmolenko, but they may have done. Dynamo Kyiv will look to a very significant fee which could easily remove some of teh interested clubs who may not see value for money.

Manchester City, Atletico, Spurs and Valencia have all previously declared an interest in Gokhan Tore with Atletico having made two offers to take him as a replacement for Arda Turan in the summer. I would think any Manchester City bid is dependent on David Silva moving on and that has gone for now. Valencia will probably not now follow up on their interest. Spurs interest remains but will likely go nowhere. Besiktas said that they are not looking to sell him over the winter window but were open to further discussions over making an agreement for a summer move to Atletico Madrid - and further discussions are scheduled but I suspect their interest is waning. Besiktas say they have not been approached by West Ham United with any offer to take Tore back to London but are aware of their interest. They have admitted that Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal (again) have watched the player in recent months.}

Looks like some exciting talents in amongst that lot! Quite an extensive response so thanks for that Ed.
When clubs watch players is that the scouting network doing their job and then reporting back and decisions are made from that? Or does a manager say he likes the look of these players go watch them for me? Just wondering what the process is, if you know.

{Ed002's Note - It works both ways ST. Typically there are a number of people that a club retains or employs regarding the "scouting" of players including a permanent Chief Scout and a perhaps a Head of International Scouting who all will report in to the club via a Director of Football or whatever. There is also be a guy who co-ordinates all of the reports and ensures that they go to the correct person. Obviously no one at the first team level is going to see or be interested in any reports related to kids so there is a hierarchy that deals with young kids, potential academy players up to the first team squad. There are then scouts retained (sometimes on a permanent basis, sometimes on a part time basis and sometimes on an ad hoc basis) by clubs to cover specific countries and/or areas of the world - France, South America, Adriatic & Old Eastern Bloc, Iberia etc.. On top of that there will be freelance scouts (often ex-referees and amateur club staff who will stay within their particular area of expertise and region). Once a player has been looked at a couple of times and reports reviewed, then someone from further up this chain will take a look. Eventually a chief scout will take a look, or if it is a potential first team player, then perhaps a coach or a manager will take a look. Some clubs also have advisors which include, taking one EPL side as an example, ex-managers or highly respected people within the game.

Within the English game, particularly at lower-levels and with youngsters, scouts often include ex-managers and referees at that level. With younger kiddies clubs often restrict their search area by distance - Southampton has a fan shaped catchment area stretching out from Southampton and up to Swindon to the Northwest and the outer-reaches of the metropolis to the Northeast. Sunday league and youth games in this area will often see someone scouting on behalf of Southampton.

Additionally, the manger will have players he would like the scouting staff to look at.}

thanks for info ed which keeper is most likely would be mandada would love khauris he looks promising.

{Ed002's Note - It is really, really tough to say most likely Brett as many clubs are looking around right now. I can tell you where I know of interest but I can't really say what will finally happen. Everton (like all Premier League clubs) are getting a financial boost next season, plus (like it or not) they will have income from players leaving. This means that the Premier League clubs will be well placed financially to challenge for lots of players - it doesn't mean they will arrive.}

I know a chap, a businessman, who lives in a big posh house in Caldy. He lives next door to Rafa Benitez. He said the other night a car had partly blocked his driveway. The driver of the car was in Rafas house. He went to knock to ask them if they could move the car as he wanted to get in to his driveway. Whose car was it?, only John Woods the Everton Director. Bill was in there as well. They were clearly having a meeting of sorts. This is no b. t. I would like Rafa, he is a top coach.
