1. Got the physical attributes but not the football intelligence. Could bully others when younger so looked better than he is. When did you last see him dictate a game?
2. Was confused by RM who had him playing as an inside right. He'll come back but maybe time to give Holgate a game
3. Was a good buy. He is suffering because of the crap he's playing with. Make him captain. To have a captain who speaks would be a novelty
4. Been rubbish for years. Killed by RM because was so slow and boring. Now we are as scared as the players.
5. ?

And no. Players downed tools on RM. Doing same now. Not good enough and too many poor attitudes. They are happy with big wages and mid-table mediocrity. Being asked to work harder upsets them.

{Ed025's Note - i would love to ague with that but i cant dave..

he has hit nail on ed but we need to create better atmosphere it dead mate even conference sides are louder then us.

{Ed025's Note - at home it is bretto, but to be fair there has not really been that many good things to lift the crowd, i know its a catch 22 situation but when it seems that the players dont really give a toss then how can you expect the crowd to sing their hearts out?. we need a bit of a lift mate all round and whether that comes by a good result or by bringing in new faces in january i dont really care...but we need it soon..

I agree Bretto that crowd need to do more. But I also agree with Ed that the players have a responsibility. doesn't take much to get Goodison going - strong tackle, decent effort, chasing the ball down. But the current crop seem unable / unwilling to do any of them.

I remember the latter days under Smith (and even some under Moyes) were the best part of the day was walking through the cemetery. Its back there I'm afraid.

I have said before and many disagreed but i thought the summer window was a real let down. RK MUST get it right this time and bring in some energy, quality and enthusiasm.

I blame most of the current problems on Martinez, he has left us with no squad, he should never been allowed a third season.
I believe that Koeman is probably a good manager but not the right one for our club with its problems.

We ended the season along with Aston Villa the worst in the prem so if we are honest we would allways fight relegation with this over aged championship standard squad.

We need a British manager who can rebuild us as the great Moyes once did.
Overseas managers in general are good at fine tuning good teams with lots of money. They do tend to fail at struggling clubs that need to be rebuilt, mr Moshiri needs to change his thinking or the championship is where we are going, sorry guys but it is grim truth we must all face,

Agree with Dave and all the replies until i read 'the great Moyes'
Greatness is measured by success and that is something Davey didn't bring.
Then you go onto mention relegation and how we finished the season along with Villa as the worst in the prem? Surely the 2 teams that went down with villa were worse than us.
