I have been reading that the new stadium will be a 50,000 seat stadium, is this enough? shouldn't we be aiming for 55,000-60,000?
what do you guys think?

I don't think the size has been confirmed yet. They have probably used 50000 as a guide. The size I assume will depend on design, fans, cost amongst other things. After all we don't want another emptihad stadium like city.

Maybe the design would incorporate adding extra seating through an extension, if there was need for it. There's a long way to go tho mate. I think Ed002 said that it could take possibly til 2020 to be ready, so I think there will be tweeks to the design if possible. Exciting time ahead though.

I'm sure until the final architects design is complete they can't specify a capacity. I think 54,075 sounds good.

I hope it is a four stand stadium and not one of these bowls that is so popular these days.
I liked the Dortmund stadium used for last nights England game much more tradition in it, the stadium must have atmosphere and not just look good.

I'd rather there was demand for every game rather than empty seats all around. Plus, you want to keep the personal atmosphere of a 'smaller' ground, so 55,000 would be perfect for me.

Am sure it'll be better than the 'Make-do-and-mend Arena' across the park :-)

How about one end being for supporters who want to stand. I think it's the Dortmund stadium that has this, and it can be changed to seated when required. Atmosphere would be spanking.

Size doesn't matter. It's the quality that counts. That's what I keep telling my girlfriend. No wonder she's imaginary.
