Southampton look to be pulling off another decent striker signify Luciano vietto from athletics Madrid. Back to Everton seen a few reports liking us with Meyer never seen him play but if koeman wants him I am 100% happy with it because koeman and Walsh haven't made mistakes as of yet but we will see this season. (Rooney)

Why knock Rooney before he starts? He looks lean, mean and a fighting machine. I wouldn't be surprised if Rooney silences a lot of people next season.

He had a bad patch a good few years back when people were saying he was losing it and he regained his ways. Its was only a mini one compared to now. I won't be surprised if he has a good season. Not saying it will defiantly happen still won't be surprised if it does.

I think we all need to get behind Rooney I feel he is what we needed at this stage in our clubs rise like NBTB says he is looking extremely lean and ready for action, he will be great for us!
I am looking forward to the feel good factor being back and we should clear out this negativity let the boy play and bring to life all those moments of glory he has acted out with his kids in those pyjamas!

Here here Southern Toffee.

I think he is going to shock a lot of people. he's going to get some desire back putting on the blue shirt again, the club, let's face it, that he never stopped loving.

Add to that he will want to prove everyone in the Media and Utd wrong.

Double figures in goals and assists is in the bag for me.

Totally agree and on top of that as a father myself I know one thing you don't want to do is disappoint your kids!

I think Rooney thrives when he has the supporters behind him. Critzism does affect him. I remember him walking off the picth complaining to the camera, fans were booing the team. So for the good of the team we would be wise to give him our full support when he steps out at Goodison on the 12th.

Am not saying his crap or won't do it it's just the biggest risk koeman and Walsh have took because of all the media at Troon that's going to be on him every minute.

Fair enough Eddy you didn't say he was crap. Your right it is a risk by RK and SW. Imho it is one very much worth taking. I was directing my post to supporters in general as much as a reply to your post.

Just hate to see people knocking him before he has even kicked a ball yet. Same goes for the right back we are supposed to be singing later on in the week. Every player should be supported imho. Not branded a failure before he even starts. Again don't take it personal Eddy I know what your saying. I'm more talking about a small minority in this post.

I actually don't think it's a risk. He's had one average season where he was not used as much as normal which coincided with a change of management. Let's face it, the special one didn't fancy him. Put a bit of confidence back in him, and a little love from the stands and the guy will be buzzing again. My only complaint about the signing is that it's only a 2 year contract.

I expect him to be nothing short of brilliant for us. And also I think he looks very lean for pre season and wonder if he's tried his best to stay in shape perhaps knowing that this move was very much on over the summer. One roar from the Goodson crowd and we will see that Rooney is back to his best.

COYB.

Was thinking the same thing with Rooney looking so fit Toffee ace. I think he is mad to get on the pitch for Everton and has been preparing for it for a long time. There were reports that he heard Koeman saying he was interested in March and since that there was only one place he was going to go. Looks like he has been training hard if that's anything to go by.

I honestly think he deep down wanted to play for Everton and is grateful to get the chance to do that now. At the same time I do think there is an element of risk to it. Small but still some risk. Can't wait to see him bust a gut in Goodison.

Haha I know nbtb I just didn't explain myself clearly. Think we need a pacey forward though to help Rooney.

I don't get people asking for a pact forward to help Rooney? Have they all forgotten we already have Kev, Sandro, lookman, DCL, Lennon and bolasie who can provide us with pace! Personally I'd prefer a proper experienced target man to come in.

Oh yeah and don't forget. Niasse now has a squad number! 😂😂.
