Don't worry Ed mate, it is only paper talk probably promoted my Sam's agent. It is only a smokescreen since Sam is after a bigger club, Barcelona probably!

Maybe. But talks mean jack s*** GB. I'm sure Mr Moshiri won't allow this debacle to continue any longer than he has to. He has way too much invested to settle for the garbage that has been on display under Sam. He just needs the right advice and a decent manager.

Watched his press conference this morning he did mention he wanted the job long term and that he'd had talks with Moshiri but they were confidential, I just can't see us progressing with him in charge let's just get this season over with, with us finishing as high as we can and see what the summer brings. I want to be optimistic I want us to go out and get a manager that will build the foundations for years to come and eventually challenge the top 4 even challenge for the title it's definitely not Sam, the problem being whoever comes in we can't please everyone as much as we all have names we want some may be disappointed remember blues we've been through tough times before and got through them let's stick together and support our team no matter what.

Well SA has confirmed that talks have actually taken place. It will be an interesting summer when we see what players he gets rid of and who he attracts to the club. If he gets a contract extension I think it will not be until December, and then only if the team are producing the goods (don't forget it will be mostly his team) . then there is a strong possibility he will get it. Regardless of if he gets it or not whilst he is at Everton he and any other manager will get my total support.

Sounds like paper trash to me. There's no value for everton to discuss an extension now, normally they take place when a manager is excelling but Sam is merely treading water.
Moshiri will take stock at the season end and then make a decision whether to continue with Sam or replace.

{Ed002's Note - it wont be about a contract extension.}

There's no way it would have been about an extension in my opinion. Some one on another site saw Allerdyce and Walsh on Weds both in suits waiting for train to London, so I'd imagine they've both had meetings with Moshiri.

All that has happened is that the papers have seen the press conference where Sam has said he talks with Moshiri but that it was confidential. He also said he wanted to be at Everton for the long term

They've then tried to make a story out of it

For all we know Moshiri has told him he is doing crap (or doing a great job)

Who knows but it is nothing to get overexcited by.
