First, hi everyone, Glad to be back after a few years!
Just seen Rodgers has admitted a huge bid for Tierney from Everton will be too good to turn down! Heard Celtic holding out for 35 million with Everton initial bid to be around 20 upfront with 5 in add-ons. Also considering using McCarthy as makeweight in a deal. Ed’s are you able to confirm this or heard anything similar?
Any other news coming in be great to hear of!
Great to be back!

Hey bud, even if Celtic accepted an offer (the offer would have to be ridiculous in the first place) Tierney will highly unlikely want a move to Everton, even for better money. Man utd and atletico Madrid have supposedly been sniffing around him and he just played them down with no interest. He is a die hard Celtic fan, has been there since he was 7 and has just signed a 6 year deal last year, not to mention he has just turned 21 so he won't be interested in leaving anytime soon. Regardless of what Rodgers says the player will have the final say at the end of the day.

All true facts but then money and opportunities talk lure of the premiership more money can sometimes sway a player
And let’s be honest apart from their group games in the champions league he doesn’t get tested much more with some of the others teams

Man U and Atletico he may view as a step to far right now, the additional pressure or not stepping straight into their starting 11 he may view his development hindered.

Rooney was a lifelong Toffee and he moved. Barkley was as well and he moved but for different reasons

We just don’t know how persuasive Brands and Silva can be once and if an offer is accepted.

{Ed0333's Note - I think your paying Tierny’s talent a massive disservice mate. In my opinion he would be starting left back within months at both Utd and Atleti. Both clubs are aggressively looking for left backs and not understudy’s to Felipe Luis, Blind, Shaw et al. The kid may only be 21 and not playing in a league with a stellar footballing standard but he is the real deal. He’ll be one of the best 5 players in his position globally in a year or two. I would say if you sign him it will be a major coup. I would love to see him at Everton or somewhere in the EPL. Super little player.

Not looking to pay him a disservice more trying to make the point he may not want to go to a Man U at this point in his career and there could be a number of reasons why he might hold back on a move to the likes of a Man U.

{Ed001's Note - the only reason he would think it a step too far is because he is playing for the club he supports and doesn't want to move. He would walk into that team and he knows it. Tierney is one of the best young left backs around right now.}

The young lad is an absolute talent for sure. I’ve seen a few interviews with him and he’s definitely got his head screwed on properly too. If he ends up coming it’ll be because both the money and the move is right for him in his opinion. If one of the two fails then the transfer won’t go through.

Even though he’s one for the future, you’d be right in saying he’s more than a bit handy right now.
