Millwall away. Well I can see an upset on the cards here, be a tough place to go to but hopefully we can get our confidence back up in the next couple of weeks. One things for sure, if we play like we did at the weekend our cup run will be over, the manager needs to go with our best 11 as this is a competition that can bring European football as it doesn't look likely the league will.

With a couple of tweaks and maybe a couple of additions Ed this team has the potential go toe to toe with anyone. COYB!

{Ed025's Note - i agree BigH, but we do need to show a bit more fight and bottle mate, we are a bit pretty and a little soft at times and dont get me wrong i love a bit of flair, but teams have bullied us a bit lately and i would like to see us toughen up a bit like we did against liverpool..

The optimism on here is mind blowing at times.
Some of the squad were knackered and needed a rest.
Others we have been calling for all season - eg Lookman.
What was Marco supposed to do? because feels a little bit damned if he does, damned if he doesn't at the moment.

WE hardly played a weakened team against Lincoln.
But bottom line is we are through.
Plenty of others arent.

Can we actually try and show a little bit of optimism. WE brought in an u20 WC winner, a World Cup centre half, a winger we have been shouting for all season. What is there to whine about?

This constant negativity starts to permeate through everything.
We have more reason to be optimistic than for many years but its not an overnight fix.

I do agree Ed025 about the looks nice but has no balls at times reference. We need to toughen up as you say and we need an enforcer who will lead by example. BTW Dave, I agree with your post, but I think you must have meant pessimism in your first sentence or why else would you call for even more optimism in the rest of the piece? lol.

Your right Ed we have been bullied off the ball there's not bite there at times but with the next 5 game we have I think we can get some points needed points.

Scrap the zonal marking is a start, let defenders do what they do best, defending and not marking an empty space.

I said at first players need to be given time to adapt back in September, we are now half way through the season and it just is not working, we also need to be more alert in our penalty area, god knows how many goals we have conceded from a rebound.

That is where I would start from, then making tweaks further upfield, we certainly have the potential, just need to toughen up and get amongst our opponents.

A centre forward is a must, but I think we are not that far away to be honest, just need to balance the team throughout, wry strong on the left, not so on the right.
