According to football insider we are close to announcing a 10 year naming rights deal worth 150 million pound now if true that sounds really cheap 1.5 mill a year but it's Everton so wouldn't suprise me.

{Ed025's Note - can we have the cash up front and buy someone who knows where the back of the net is?..

Meant 15 mill a year ha ha that would help ED25 unfortunately I don't think the guys at the top could be trusted to spend it wisely.

15mill a year for where we are is an amazing deal. We’re a bottom half team flirting with relegation. Also from what I’ve read without investment like that we’d be in the rubbish with the stadium costs.

Ed, if we had Haaiand he would never score, simply because we have no creative players and wingers who very really take on the fullback and send over dangerous crosses to attack.
Add to that we take an age to launch any form of attack, which makes us so easy to defend against.
I would seriously think again before we award lucrative long terms contracts to both Gordon and Iwobi.
Frank and his extensive and expensive coaching and background staff need to take a hard look at themselves. Six weeks of working on playing tactics to improve and despite the comments on addressing the issues, first game back against bottom of the table opposition, who have only scored 8 goals all season, normal service resumes.
Frank and the likes of Ashley Cole, who have played at the highest level, should see how the game is trending and ring the changes in tactics and substitutions to keep us competitive, but it’s not happening. Sending Cannon on with 7 minutes to go is ridiculous. How can he expect the youngster to even get the pace of the game let alone make an impact.
I appreciate Gordon squandered two golden opportunities, but he has been poor all season and both his and Gray’s performances have gone dramatically backwards. Add to that McNeill and. Maupay lack a yard of. pace means we offer no real threat upfront.
We are now in a precarious situation. Which decent player in his right mind would want to join a struggling club? Are we about to buy in desperation mediocre players? We need an injection of skill and pace in the team post haste and the willingness to give game time to Price, Cannon and Mills, who let’s be honest cannot do any worse than the present incumbents.
Frank, who has got to take responsibility for the teams lack of performance, has made it extremely difficult time for the Board.

{Ed025's Note - great post fancy and i agree with all of that mate, may i just add that ellis simm is terrorizing defences in the championship and we are playing maupay, i know our service is terrible but could he do any worse?..

I disagree in a way Sir_Loin bud as they are not just sponsoring a football club. we want concerts to be held and the site will be open 365 days a year with cafes ect open add in its on the banks of the royal blue mersey so will be the first thing tourists see when the ships sail into Liverpool so will get massive coverage. I don't think we are on par with city's 40 mill a year and I think spurs will get even more than that due to the NFL and it's in London but I genuinely believe it's worth more than 15 mill a season.

Lamps, I know it’s the premier league and all that but just to point out that Bayern get around the 5million mark a year for the Allianz. That’s 5million for a CL regular and the largest tourist destination in Bavaria!
Apples and Pears and all that but for a club not in the capital, 2nd fiddle in its own City (For the majority of neutral fans around the world outside Merseyside) , it’s probably not that bad a deal ATM.
Think we missed a trick with the NFL / Transferable pitch but won’t lose and sleep on that!

Fair points Blu1 the only counter argument I can come up with is the size of the prem compared to Germany so has a much higher audience reach. I do agree with you maybe I'm just so used to the club being so poor when it comes to sponsorship deals just look at the fanatics deal with DBB banging on they have agreed to open a store at the new stadium ?‍♂️ why are we not opening our own store we are so poorly run I'm prob looking for the downside more than the upside.

All things considered, sounds like a decent deal to me. With that and the increase in revenue from home games, it’ll improve our spending power against FFP. Of course, if we’re in the championship next season, that all goes out of the window!

JBtoffee it would just be another kick in the balls look throughout history we won the league World war 1 started then we won the league 2nd World war started we then look to have a team that can dominate and we get banned from Europe now we look like getting a new stadium which means we spend more and try to compete and we will prob get relegated and the stadium won't get completed ?? I have to laugh or I would cry.

As hard as it is, the squad’ll need our support.
Plenty of big teams have found themselves in worse positions over the years: Forest, Leeds, Derby, Shef Weds etc.

{Ed025's Note - I agree to a certain extent JB but it’s hard to support such an abject bunch as we have in our side at present mate..

They simply can't afford for the stadium not to be completed. Otherwise they would have to return it to as it was, and that would cost a ridiculous amount of money.
The only priority the club should have right now is staying in the Prem. Lose that you lose the finances that go with it, and then at best you become a yo yo team which is not sustainable for a club this size.

Yes, I know what you mean Ed. I also know I’ll moan and groan, but still watch, and still hope, beyond all evidence to the contrary, that we can improve and stay up. Lacking character as much as anything. Moyse’s teams didn’t have the most quality, but you always knew they’d put a shift and a foot in.

{Ed025's Note - I have turned into a serial moaner as well JB. That’s what this club does to you mate..

Is it possible to get Simms back from his loan? I thought bring players back was next to impossible.

{Ed025's Note - i dont know the terms of the loan chris but if it is a season long loan deal ...then he is there for the season, shame we even let him go there imo with our options up front mate..

I know it is ed. Just like letting both our cover LBs go out last season. At this rate I'd start mina up front over Maupay. I'd like to see cannon get some starts but not sure if it's a good idea to do that with him being so young. Maupay offers nothing.

{Ed025's Note - im afraid NM is not even an upgrade on rondon chris..
