League One Brentford are set to complete the loan signing of Everton forward Conor McAleny, reports the Hounslow Chronicle.

The 20-year-old has made just a handful of first-team appearances for the Toffees but has shone for the U21s.

Thoughts guys?

Can't we get him a championship team

2.) 24 Jul 2013
Think we should keep him, defo a future star!

Probably a good thing for Connor hopefully he'll get a regular start which will certainly aid his development. Its a shame its a league 1 club not a championship club as we would get a much better idea of if he would make the 1st in the future.

Hope he does, he has great potential and personally I think he will clean up in that league. He should anyway if he is to become a strong premier league striker one day! I remember hearing he's our answer to michael owen. hope he shows it! COYB

He is not premier quality

6.) 24 Jul 2013
I think a league 1 team is a good choice. its a ruff and tumble league so it will toughen him up and goals could be easier to come by. if he get confidence banging em in for a league 1 team then a championship team may recognise this and take him next season to aid his development. Definitely one for the future

Brentford are a decent footballing side their not cloggers so the choice is good. He'll also play under pressure for the first time in his career were every goal really counts, it'll be a good experience for him
