People seem to be saying they don't mind Fellaini going if Man U pay £25-30M. I think we are still vastly under rating him.

He is an extra Central Defender at corners in both boxes, he has an engine as big as anyone's in the league. He battles. He stops teams playing. He links our play going forward. He scores goals on the floor as well as with his 'fro. He's been a colossus in so many games in recent seasons, City, Man Utd, Chelsea away. Moyes said he is the best central midfielder in the league when he is on form and I agree.

Who could we realistically get to replace that power and presence? There is noone in the PL to replace him nor can I think of any european player that even comes close - ok possibly Mertesacker. Bearing in mind we don't want to sell, he has no release clause and he is a one off - £25M would be an absolute snip.

People are saying McCarthy, are they mad? He's a decent young player but he doesn't bring to the team what the big man does. I would pay through the nose to see the guy terrorising Man U again - can anyone see McCarthy having that sort of impact?

If his head has been turned then we may have no choice but it will be a sad day for me :-(

Oh and if Gareth Barry joins us I will be crying into my beer. Turning circle of a bus and slower than my gran.
