I've not posted for a while, but, in case some fans haven't seen it, I'd recommend having a look at the club's official website and reading the interview with Steven Naismith.
Like most fans I really liked the guy and was sorry to see him leave. If I had my way he would have started most games as he always gave 100%.
His final interview, if anything, has increased my respect and admiration of him. He really understands Everton and our fans.
I wish him nothing but the best of luck and I'm positive his welcome at Goodison on the last day of the season will be up there with other club legends on their return.

As much as I loved naisy many people seem to be sad to see him go, as am I however just as many people have said previously that he was not at the level required. I know he works and works and is a great player to have around the squad however he is never going to be a starter for us in the long term and for us to get up to £10M for him bearing in mind that he's nearing 30 and that we ourselves have only ever bought about 5 players for more than that sum it seems a good deal for the club and the player alike. Yes I'll be sad to see him go but long term I don't see it being a massive loss to us. Many have said they'd have rather got shot of Kone, I'd probably agree on ability basis but we'd have never got anywhere near £5M for him let alone 8.5 rising to 10 if Norwich stay up. Top bloke, wish you well Naisy!
