So it looks like Koeman is going to be our new manager and I'm really happy that the club have gone out there to try and get someone with big ambition and as it seems over the past two seasons the ability to get the best out of his squad.

It also sounds like he will get a big, big budget to work with over the next three years that should put us in a really good place for when we move into our potential new stadium.

If that wasn't enough then it also sounds like he will be buying the remaining shares in the club and has a long term plan of making us a massive elite club in Europe.

However, I hope we don't start losing our identity of have our feet firmly on the ground and don't start spouting rubbish like we are the kings of the earth just like you get with Chelsea, Man City and the like.

Already some are sounding quite disrespectful to Southampton and their so called position in the hierarchy in the league and because we have a bit of money we are now above them.

It's not that easy and in fact they are a better prospect than us at the moment. So until the £100 mil is spent and we move into our new stadium they will continue to be a better prospect for a manager.

Hopefully, though in the months and years ahead we start to move up that ladder and get back to where we all believe we belong. Until then I wish Southampton all the best and look forward to battling horns next season.
