We are, it would seem, in for a striker who, last season, scored 10 goals from 42 games. With the greatest of respct, this does not get the pules raceing, there are any number of striker available with much better goal scoring recordes, unless they are willing to take kone in part exchange, this is one rumour i would willingly see slip though our grasp.

To be fair, players can't always be judged on stats. Was he played in the correct position? Was the style of play suited to him? Did he have the players around him to get the most out of him? Did he have any niggling injuries or personal issues? If the club have identified him as someone they want then I'm happy.

I liked the guy who played for Valencia Gameiro, always ready to receive the ball, dribble, run into spaces, decent finisher and nippy as well.

Gameiro plays for Sevilla but yes I agree we should be looking at him, I'm fairly sure he scored quite a lot of goals for them this season.

Oops Sevilla, god knows why I putValencia, yeah he seems to have the lot, never stops running, I would take him any day of the week.

Just checked Gameiro tranfer value, his market value is £12.65 million, got to be worth a punt, he's 29 so will get some years out of the guy.
