Here's a thought. What if we did away with buying players, and instead all clubs could only sign players on one year contracts. This would do away with clubs spending fortunes for players, and players getting tied to pointless four and a half year contracts that neither the club or player stick too.
There would only be one transfer window in the summer, and this would hopefully make it a more level playing field for all teams.
I know it might have its drawbacks but thought it might make a nice change from all this transfer banter.

Felt like starting a debate on something other than transfers. Thought it might calm people down a little.

Feeling calm already WB but the money men wouldn't let this happen. I like the idea though. Here's another thought Labour gets in at the next election and instigates the no person in a company can earn more than 200% more than the lowest paid we could then see the tea ladies at some clubs earning more than the PM now that would be funny.
