That is a great signing by Everton I know 30 mill for a goalkeeper but the lad is quality and is only going to get better great way to start our summer business.

Excellent signing Stef mate looks like £18 mill up front with add ons, am well pleased with this also with Klassen and Sandro, the team is starting to come together with some very good players, if we can have players wanting to turn up and play every game I will be well happy, cheers GuernseyBlue.

Wouldn't have been my first choice, but I do agree that he is only going to get better and if the reported 18M up front ( which is closer to his current worth ) , with the rest in add-ons is correct, then it is a good deal.
Let's be honest, it could've been worse, we could've got Hart!

I think it's excellent business by Everton bringing him in. I'll be honest, before we beat Sunderland 3-0 at goodison i'd seen very little of Pickford and was skeptical of the hype. The game at goodison only backed up what I thought. He looked dodgy coming out and claiming crosses and didn't look like he had the safest hands. Although I heard after the game when speaking to another Blue that he'd been out for 3 months before he played, so I decided to watch a few more Sunderland games. Despite all that what said about Defoe last season, from the few games I watched Sunderland towards the tail end of the season, Pickford was their outstanding player.

It made me think of the situation with De Gea when he first arrived. I'm not saying they're both in the same league, only time will tell, but DDG was a young keeper with a big price tag and a lot of hype. When he first came in he was dreadful, his handling was embarrassing and he seemed to lack any real presence in the box, something that a top goalkeeper has to possess. Although with the backing on the Man U fans he really turned a corner and became the world class keeper of today. Hopefully, our fans will give Pickford the same support to go on to be a top class keeper.

One last thing, I've been looking at how Sunderland fans have been reacting to the news and it's very telling that they're all gutted he's leaving. Many have said he's the best player they've produced in decades. So overall, cracking business by the blues!
