Good news today.
A man losing his job is never anything to be happy about but we are talking about multi millionaires so i don't really care for sympathy as his family won't suffer financial heartache.
Now the real issue, who will replace him?
Its simple for me.
We have 2 choices.
If we want to simply consolidate 6/ 7 place with occasional cup runs then we go for the dyche/ howe type.
If we want to challenge for honours and make this club great again then we go for ancelotti.
Just my opinion.
The appointment will show the boards ambition and will be based on the choices above surely.
We have had 2 managers with terrible track records who should never have been employed by us.
I hope the board choose a manager who is a winner with a proven track record and show the fans that they want success.

Pauly it is down to who the board can persuade to join us, i am hoping they are ambitious as i think Moshiri is and go for someone who has a track record and not just some up and coming manager who may or may not turn out to be a great manager.

Its not going to be easy to attract someone like Ancelotti, the fact we have got such poor strikers makes me think we will have to give someone like that major assurances over transfers in January, assurances we cannot give as we are so poor in transfer market. I think Mancini could be a good option, he knows the league as well like Ancelotti but not as high profile.

The board thought they were being ambitious getting Ron, as was I. Just shows you how difficult the owners job is really.

*** Red Alert ***

Without wanting to start a riot, can I ask if any blues genuinely think / believe that Ancelotti would want to be your manager?

Look at where he’s been. he’s always had an essentially 1-in-2 chance of winning the title. He’s another like Mourinho, he wouldn’t have the guts to go to a team where his actual managerial skills would be tested.

He, Mourinho and Guardiola have always been at clubs where money’s no object, PSG, Inter and AC (before their demise) Chelsea, Utd, Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern.

With respect, CA turned us down because he realised how big a job it was going to be to get us back challenging for the top four, you guys are 18th. IMO, he’d see it as damaging for his reputation if you finished bottom half.
