Give Rhino the interim post and see how the lads react to him. He's a blue and I'd like to think they would respond in a positive way. Ancellotti isn't the way forward IMO. The word out of Bayern was pedestrian. we don't need another pedestrian. Whoever comes in has gone one big problem. no proven strikers.

Yeah we don't want a multiple champions league winner.

Yep I remember the squads he had too to win those.
Look who he’s managed Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern.
Sorry we’re not in the same universe when it comes to the last 20 years compared to those clubs and squads. His last 3 clubs he’s been around for 2-3 years max. We have a good crop of talent coming through and we need an identity with a trusted manager invested to our wonderful club for the long term. We all yearn for the 80’s revival but you need trusted people to achieve that. I think the board need to think very carefully about the next appointment and what that manager would bring in terms of a true commitment to the longer term project.

You to stop watchin those old 1980s EFC season reviews on VHS. The world's moved on (years ago) and we (as always) are one of the last to the party.
We will not appoint a manager for more than 3 years ever. No club does that because it's rare a rocking horse that any manager satisfies the board and fans that long.

This whole "he's a blue he knows what it means" is nonsense. 100s of clubs have put in an old boy to pander to the gullible but it's just a hiding to nothing every time.

We don't need some flag waver that was connected to the club. we need a big gun to drive this new big car. Who on the continent is going to sign for Unsworth over Carlo and co? We need a high calibre manager. Let's not become anymore of a joke please.

Ps Bayern (relatively) are on the slide and following Pep is always a struggle.
Carlo is free. Knows the Prem and is renowned throughout the world. Players like him. He knows how to win but unlike Koeman. He also knows how to spend money.

If you refer back to my initial post I said interim. We’ve got 6 winnable games coming up and we need someone initially who knows the club. Most clubs bring in their assistant manager for the several games prior to the longer term appointment and sometimes that gets a positive reaction. That’s what we need right now IMO to instil some confidence.
We should surely be striving for stability from the next appointment and not follow the circus that is one year management wonders or 3 appointments a season. That’ll work out well won’t it.
Dyche settled, Howe settled, Hughes settled, Pulis settled, Pochettino settled I could go on all keeping clubs in the prem and slowly developing a 5 year plan.
