Everton will link up with agent Mino Raiola to improve their recruitment in the summer. The change of personnel will also see the departure of manager Sam Allardyce and director of football Steve Walsh. (Sunday Mirror)

Allardyce says his time at the club has already been a success, after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Swansea saw then move to ninth in the Premier League. (Sky Sports)

imagine spending 200 million pounds in the summer, drawing against (to be fair we should have lost the game judging by how "well" we played) the mighty swansea city languishing in the bottom half of the table and then gloating about what a success your season has been

i'd love to see some of this fascinating logic sam would have used to rationalize this in his head.

Hey Ed, speaking of Raiola, if the reports are true in what capacity would he be able to "improve" Everton's recruitment in the summer? If he is bought on board will he be involved in negotiating deals for players or helping identify targets? I'm struggling to see what his expertise can bring to the table.

{Ed002's Note - Mino R is a "super agent", a facilitator who might, if the circumstances suit him organise a high-end player or two moving to Everton for a while. Just to be clear, he would not be a member of the staff or joining the club, he would be in the position of providing advice and removing very significant funds from the club in terms of his fees. With a Director of Football likely to arrive in the summer, I agree with you that it is hard to see how this would work if it were to happen. Mario Balotelli anyone? }
