Cant believe how many people I have talked to lately and they are all for Silva for next manager WTF!

the man has lost more games than won in the premier league with 2 different clubs - too many people think he is going to be the next Mourinho - no chance. would rather stick with Sam until something better comes along.

{Ed0333's Note - how can you say you’d rather stick with Sam until someone better comes along with any conviction or credibility? The guy is an abomination as a man and as a football manager. I would rather Susan Boyle manage my club than him.

Further to ed0333's comments no way can we remain with Sam as our manager next season, but regarding Silva I've said the same thing what has he done to warrant coming to Everton someone posted the same about Eddie Howe the other day, we are probably not going to please everyone when and if we get a new man in charge but anyone would be better than Sam.

Silva is better than Sam.
Sure it's a risk, he could very well be a flash in the pan. I think what he did at Hull (yes I know they still went down) was impressive.

He had them playing some good football and very very quickly.
I do admit that Watford wasn't a good situation. As a club we foot the responsibility for that to an extent.

They were flying until our interest. Clearly the guy was up for it, clearly he was going to bring a few with him and in the end it just soured their performances.

Yes you can argue that that was a weakness and a weakness we don't want bit I think that's ridiculously harsh. I'm sure plenty of good players and managers have been made to look unprofessional due to a bigger club sniffing about.

Fonze for me but Silva is also ok with me.
He was the next big thing and sometimes it doesn't end up like that :Villas Boas anyone? Other times it does : Mourinho?

We have a lot of work, if everything goes as well as it can, 3 years before we can push top 4.
So why not? Managers don't last much longer than that. We have to assume a new gaffa every 3 years so long term dependency on head coach should diminish.

So long as I can wake up on Saturdays optimistic again. I'm sure next season BS would improve us again, statistically. But it will be at the detriment of any entertainment. We want more.

Ed0333 I think pavilion means he would rather wait for someone else rather than appoint Silva. I have to agree with him. I too cannot understand why people want Silva. Another Martinez imho. We would be leaking goals left, right and centre.

{Ed0333's Note - ok mate I appreciate your point. Don’t neccecarily agree with it mind.

Ed0333 If pavillion would prefer SA than Silva as a manager then that's his opinion and he is entitled to it. You have a totally different opinion which again you are entitled to. Both are valid as they are your opinions. I can't see any issue in wanting SA to remain rather than pick someone that pavillion clearly see's as a worse option being given the job. I had exactly the same opinion with Unsy and SA. Unfortunately the management did what they did. So although I am not a fan of SA I would rather see him see out his contract than have a manager that I don't see able to move the club forward. Any one other than SA is not an option for me but that's just my opinion.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m not kidnapping Pavillions right to free speech, last time I checked this site adhered to democratic tenants. I merely vehemently disagreed with his incorrect opinion. 🤣

I didn't know Susan Boyle was available Ed?

{Ed0333's Note - it’s uncanny the similarities between Sam and Susan. Put some chewing gum in Susan’s mouth on a Saturday afternoon and you’ll see what I mean.

Fair enough Ed0333. I love that saying disagreed with his incorrect opinion. Made me smile.

{Ed0333's Note - Inspired by Brian Clough mate lol.
