. Well, it seems West Ham have chosen Pellegrini as they cannot persuade Benitez. so that puts us in with a great chance of trying to go all out for Rafa, as for me he's the standout contender for the job. perfect for our project and will propel us into the top 4 within 2 seasons!

I don't think rafa would work with Brands. He wants full control of signings. Hence why he left Liverpool. I do believe he's a top manager though.

Rafa’s biggest grumble has been lack of funds. Most managers work with DOFs now. I’d be happy with Rafa, his record speaks for itself. As does Emery’s. What is Silva’s record?

Other than Hull and watford it isn’t bad really and you could say he didn’t have the greatest squad at Hull and if yiu factor in with it going to pot at Watford he has some good stats.

Bluerobbo he did not leave Liverpool because of transfer control, it was a personality issue. Brands and Benitez are both cut from the same cloth, they would be brilliant together. Benitez is a class act, it is that simple. Do your research on Silva and it is plain the bloke has not matured yet. I keep reading look at Silvas resume and history, well yeah of course I have and not impressed. If you need more managerial names then, sorry about that.

Silva's record is decent but not in the Premiership and that is not me being negative, that is being factual. I want a Manager that we are not going to sack once he hits a rocky road because we know he has the ability to recover. Silva took Hull down and had no answer to Watfords demise (they used us as an excuse) so was sacked. Martinez was hired on the strength of his FA Cup win (the guy took Wigan down and they are only just recovering) and Koeman on his name.

I think it was Ed002 that said Mr Moshri needed to take advice from a knowledgable source, he appears to have done that and now it would seem we are at last moving forward. The most important signing for me is a proven successful DoF and the involvement of Raola (a very good friend of Brands apparently) . Brands will have a major input into our next Manager which is important, if that turns out to be Silva then I bow to knowledge greater than mine.

I do love when people write about Silva who have no idea what he did before he came to the premiership, at hull they were struggling and he made them a better team he just could keep them up, first season so you can forgive him for that, at Watford he had them flying and everyone was talking about how well they were playing, But saying that at the time they were on a bad run they had what I read 13 first team players out injured, now anyone at any team will struggle with that.
