Hearing a rumour that Celtic have accepted £22.6m for Tierney and he travels down on Tuesday.
Not sure on this one but the lad who's told me is usually there or thereabouts.
Would be a fantastic piece of business.

{Ed002's Note - He is teasing you.}

Tierney, may or may not be the real deal, but the standard of player he has faced in the scotish prem, bears no conparison to what he would face in the english top flight.
So if we are to go for him it should be with no more than 10m up frount with the rest based on add ons, Celtic aside, the rest of the scotish prem would have it all on to get a mid table finish in the championship, and that is the only level this boy has faced.

{Ed001's Note - he plays in the Champions League every season. Seriously you are making yourself look a little silly with these kind of comments.}

Sometimes you watch a player and you can just see it, Rooney at 14, sessegnon at 17 or whatever he is, being two of them. This is what this lad is. Watch him and then make a sensible decision about how much you would pay.

Yet we got Graeme Sharpe, Gary Naysmith, Duncan Ferguson, David Weir, Richard Gough, James McFadden and Steven Naismith but to name a few. No complaints about them coming from Scottish football. Tierney is quality.

He is comparable In the Scottish side with Robertson can't see RS complaining.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's exactly the sort of player we need. Young, ready to learn and hungry for success.

Didn't he play in qualifier for Scotland v England and was "MOM" up against premier league players. Some times the big fish in a little pond really is a big fish ie Coleman.

Thanks ed02. I was clinging on to the hope more than anything else.
It did seem a bit flaky as far as rumours go.
I have to say though that this lad is quality.
I have always said judge a manager on his first signing.
If he pulls this one off then I hope it's a sign of things to come as I believe this kid would be great value even at 30m in the current climate of the transfer market.
We get the press linking us with everyone due to the world cup and new manager but this one seems like we have concrete interest and I believe we have a chance of pulling this off.
BR has already stated it would hard to keep him if Celtic received a big bid.
I also wish the new manager, DOF and all the squad, all the very best for this new season and era.
Let's get behind them from minute 1 and show our support for our club like the real passionate Evertonians that we are and let's help them build confidence.
COYB.

Regardless of what Rodgers says mate, the final say lies with the player. And he has stated more than once on the back of being linked to atl. madrid and man utd that he has no intentions of leaving celtic even for more money. He just recently signed a 6 year deal with the club he supports and at the age of just 21 won't leave anytime soon. There would be an uproar among Celtic fans if the club tried to push him out against his wishes.

edoo1, The only thing silly, would be to play up frount 25m, for a player who has built his reputation against players who would strugle to get a place in an english 3rd division side.

{Ed001's Note - you really are ignorant.}
