Quick question for Ed's. Is Onyekuru allowed to train with us despite no work permit? I can't see why not providing he has a visit visa which shouldn't be a bother. If so - is he there now? Just out of interest. Seems crazy we were crying out for width and pace last year and Onyekuru and Lookman scoring goals elsewhere. I have doubts whether Onyekuru will ever play for us.

Interesting one with this player, I know we were hoping he would earn a World Cup place to get the required games I think we need to loan him again for a season.

Can one of the Eds explain what leagues Onyekuru can currently play in and what ones he can't. Why are our work permit regulations tighter than Belgium who are also part of the EU (at least we are for now) or is it also a residency issue?

{Ed001's Note - every country has different work permit regulations, I really couldn't write a list of which he can and which he can't play in. Every country has their own laws, regardless of the EU, and they have close ties with different countries from each other. For instance, it is easier in the UK to get work permits and visas for a Commonwealth country than one outside of the Commonwealth. However in Belgium, for instance, they have a similar network of countries they once colonised, as do Spain and Germany etc that will find it far easier to get permits and visas, but they will not be so closely tied with countries from the Commonwealth. That is the usual reason for players being able to play in one country rather than another. However, to write a list of it would take up days of work just to put together.}

Thanks Ed. I hope someone at Everton is working on it as, after Anderlecht, there are only a few good sides in Belgium and it looks like we need to find another loan club for him.
