Jesus we have a cracking midfield 3. Gomez looks world class. The back 5 is so solid as well. Richarlison is looking great but is more effective out wide. That leaves 2 positions we need to improve: striker and one wing position. Bernard looks good but shouldn't be a guaranteed starter like he is atm, although he is new to the Prem. Lookman over Walcott ALL DAY. I thought the front 3 were a level or two behind the rest yesterday. Considering we are 13 games in Silva, Brands and co. Have done a trly amazing job so far and we are playing more attractive free flowing attackig football. A striker, Richarlison and Lookman out wide and I think we are good to go. Can't see us being able to get the right man in Jan though.

The good thing as well is we do not need to rush McCarthy back, he has time now to get up to speed and there if we need backup.

I know I am being harsh here and it is only a minor tweak, but again yesterday we saw a rush of blood of getting in a good position and going for goal instead of the cut back into the box, that has happened in a number of games this season when we have gone for goal in tight angles, instead of putting a player through, in a better position.

If we can get that composure in the final third, we will start to get more goals, .

We need a solid player in front of the back four still a lot of work to be done to get the team in a position to challenge.

Completely agree. We just need to start nicking points off the top 4-5 teams. We deserved points against Utd. But one point against Chelsea arsenal and Utd so far is not going to get us into top 5. Player for player I truelly think only Liverpool and City are clearly above us. I think everyone else in league we can match. Just look at our subs bench now.
Ambission in Jan and Summer to get a striker - Vardy if can get him cheap (31 yr old) - proper Everton player - puts a shift in. Even if we had him for 2 seasons to get us up to top 4-5. Or take a chance if n Sanchez - or dare I say Lakaku (not popular but would gautantee 20 a season with our wingers) . I think too much water under the bridge. I’m sure Brands will be working on a striker and if he is any good as Mina, Gomez, Digne, and Richarlison I’ll be happy.
If I had one wish for Christmas it would be 3 points from Livetpool - that would put us amongst Arsenal / Chelsea / Spurs if we go on to beat Burnley Newcastle Watford and Brighton. Need points against Spurs / City / Liverpool - if we lose all 3 then I think we can only hope for 6th/ 7th - I’d have taken that at start of season but hoping for 5th.
