I know it's early days but we must be wining games like tonight if we are serious about top 6 we have a hard December this season and that period could define if we improve on last season.

Manager at fault persistent playing of DCL also to many poor performances tonight siggy Gomes richarlison snidest to name the most obvious we played a poor villa that will battle relegation and looked lacking in quality we are no where near top six when you can only score one goal in three games!

No way near top 6. I just can't understand why DCl keeps getting played.

{Ed0666's Note - nor do I

Midfield was non existent today every turn over we were lost. Gana anyone? DCl cannot start another game after that miss. People say there’s three people on the line but the whole of the left side was gaping. Awful from us.

Don’t know how anyone can blame Silva? The only decision he’s got wrong is still playing DCL but I can understand (but don’t agree) not wanting to throw Kean in fully too. DCL didn’t lose us that game tonight it was the 5-6 players who didn’t turn up and when that many players don’t turn up what can the manager do?
For me he made the changes I would of chasing the game maybe left Bernard on for DCL but was chasing the game and went 2 up top so understand choice. Nobody on the bench to replace Gomez so don’t understand anyone moaning about Manager.

Davies was on the bench wasnt he? An the manager is at full fault for that he picks his team and his bench, DCL could still be playing now on his own and still wouldn't score why isn't Tosun getting a look in when DCL jas had 1 shot all season.

Davies was on the bench. Personally I'd have taken DCL and gomes off at half time. Brought Kean and Davies on and kept the same shape. Then later on Iwobi.

Onwards and upwards . let's use the Lincoln game to try something new . score goal
Last night was disappointing mainly because there seemed a lack of passion to put it right after going a goal down, besides Seamus kicking Trezeuget up in the air and Mina having a South American stand off with Wesley I get concerned by the lack of bite.
Don't think Silva is going to change his style of play but maybe a change of personnel in certain positions is worth trying.
I'd give Sidibe a start in front of Seamus, he has played there before, I'd agree with giving Bernard a game in a 10 role, his lack of pace and power wouldn't be as noticeable there and his trickery would help the striker.
Kean must start and Iwobi on the left, if Gbamin has recovered get him back in. Gomes was non existent but I'd still start him over Schneiderlin because he is still our 1 effective creative midfield player, put last night down to a bad day in the office.
Wouldn't blame the defence too much as they handled what was a pretty mobile AV front 6 with no help from midfield.
