Thus far our last three managers have been ineffectual despite significant investment in players' salaries.

We believe there to be potential is some of the players brought in (Sidbe, Ghambin, Richarlison, etc. ) . We sold some good players (Gana and Lukaku) .

Brands.

Is Brands actually producing, or is he a part of the lack of success and rampant underachieving?

Do we need a DOF? If so, is Brands up for the EPL?

Or is it the players just don’t care?
Regardless of winning or losing they get their ridiculous salaries - until players get performance related pay why will they want to bust a gut?
Some may put in a performance to get into their national team or for a move elsewhere but it’s not the whole squad. I've never seen anything like it, they don’t appear to care in the slightest - us mugs paying our hard earned to support them and then get served up dire performance whilst they then swan off at the end of the match without a care.

Couldn't agree more Gingerdan, IMO we are now watching players who grew up in academies and not playing football in the streets or in the park. Therefore it is just a job to them. I also think this is why we don't see many leaders now and that's not only at our club. They have grown up being told what to do and not being able to think for themselves. I am also seeing the change in local footballers in my area as the lads coming through now are the generation of 'everyone gets a medal for taking part'

Im no Silva fan but you do have to wonder about the mental attributes of the modern day footballer. Wrapped up in cotton wool comes to mind. Some may disagree and that's fair enough its their option but as I have said this is my take on the modern footballer.
