i asked this a few weeks ago about when could it be possible to restart the prem just read that the portugese league could be starting end of month just wondering do any of the eds know where we are at with premier league at this moment and when will it likely to restart again and also when do you think the fans would be allowed to go the matches again thanks for reply.

{Ed025's Note - fans wont be allowed this year i would think andy, if the prem starts up again it will be behind closed doors mate but there are still a lot of if,s. insurace companies will not sanction the playing because imagine a player or official getting covid and dying?, it would be classed as corporate manslaughter they are saying, its a waiting game at the moment and any speculation at this time would be guesses..

Definitely no fans for the remainder of this season, ed025, and looks like they are planning for no fans to satrt with for next season. So I've read anyway.
The longer the talks drag on, the more I'm starting to think that the season will be scrapped. It's a crazy situation. Liverpool deserve to win the title, they've been the best team in the league by a country mile and I will feel bad for the nice red mates I have. Do you think they will be given the title, ed025, if the season can't be saved?

{Ed025's Note - i cant see them just being given the title BP, they will imo finish the season whenever that will be is anyone,s guess though, i cant see the point of them starting a new one without finishing this season mate..

seen that salomon kalou was going round hertha berlins training ground shaking hands with his team mates and laughing about covid 19 think some football players would of learned by now i hope the football can be resumed in the premier league even if it is behind closed doors il accept watching that but think its time the fa just state whether we can resume or not cause just a guessing game for everbody.

Ed025, I was thinking more if they use some kind of formula, points to game ratio or something was mentioned. No doubt they deserve it (pains me to say it! ) but there isn't a decent compromise for any team, let alone them over the park.
We might all moan that there's no football to look forward to right now but I'd hate to be calling the shots on this situation, no matter what solution they come up with they will be upsetting one club or another.
Do you think they will overcome the player contracts whereas some have signed for other clubs or those who are nearing the end of their deals? So much will have to be sorted before we can even think about restarting this season or going on to the next. Hope all is well ed, stay safe mate.

{Ed025's Note - contracts are a very contentious issue BP and players who will be out of contract will get an extension until things resort to normal, pre-arranged moves will have to be looked at as money will be an issue with a lot of clubs now mate, yes the reds do deserve their title of that there is no doubt...but the devil in me would find it quite funny if the league was just cancelled, and even if they get the job done im sure a few will be classing it as "tainted"...not me of course.. :)

ED25 I disagree slightly with when you said they finish this season at some point as you can't see the point in starting a new one if this one isn't finished now surely there will be a point when they have to say right we now need to prioritise next season as clubs will not survive losing a full calender year but can survive losing 8-9 games as for titles and relegation if they had been decided I would let them stand but nothing is confirmed and no fair way to do it so needs to be voided no winners no losers no promotion no relegation I can't see any other way of doing it.

{Ed025's Note - the way i look at it BMD is that im a builder, if i start a job then it rains i dont move on to another job i finish the one i started!, what if we get a new srain and we cant finish next season?, do we then move on to 2022?, no matter how long it takes its only fair to finish this season mate then maybe have a curtailed season next year...thats my feelings anyway..

When safe to do so just finish the season and start next straight after as wouldn't need preseason training and fixtures, job done, what's the fuss. When that's the question most, probably when lockdown is eased beginning of June. As stated above by ED25 finish the job do the next.
