i reckon to pass the time we should create beat the eds instead of beat the chasers based on football knowledge questions haha to any of the eds really youse all know you're football knowledge very well apart from the premier league do you know about clubs in different countrys and also there transfer policies like la liga seria a and also the bundesliga thanks for reply.

{Ed002's Note - I understand how the transfer systems work across Europe if you have a question.}

just wondered that's all ed002 good knowledge like not really a big question but do you expect a big transfer fee for a player to come to the premier league this season or next like a jadon sancho gareth bale maybe james rodrigues or even possible edison cavani.

{Ed002's Note - (a) There is interest in Sancho but the overall cost of the player, not just the transfer fee is a problem right now. (b) Gareth Bale (W) is available to be sold or used in a part exchange deal but nobody is interested at this time given the asking price and wages - seen as one of the main reasons that the rebuild at Real Madrid will take longer than planned as he wants to stay. (c) James Rodriguez (AM) - a high end Columbian is wanted in Miami with JR the preferred choice but JR will want more time in Europe with Juventus and Manchester United the preference. Juventus are open to replacing Dybala and have lost out on Eriksen and expect their first choice AM player, Havertz, to complete a move elsewhere, so James Rodriguez might well be an option. It is unlikely to expect Manchester United to move for James, particularly after signing Bruno Fernandes and he doesn't offer the versatility of Grealish - but his agent will talk with them. Wolves have "strong ties" with his agent but a move there remains very unlikely. Price means he could eb used in part exchanges.

thanks for that ed 002 who do you think what player is most likely to join any premier league team from abroad for a heavy transfer fee either this season or next and imagine james rodrigues at wolves be a coup if they where to get him in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - I could only guess Andy but several sides do have targets that would be expensive - but we are in the middle of this pandemic and that could make it difficult. You may, for example, see Manchester City to look at Saul Niguez, Chelsea look to Jadon Sancho, Liverpool to look to Diego Carlos and Timo Werner - or perhaps even Julian Brandt as a wildcard. Many things will change between now and the start of next season.}

Great info, ed002. With regards to Havertz, which other clubs are sniffing around him? Very talented youngster from what I've seen of him, destined for an elite club.

{Ed002's Note - Kai Havertz (AM) Bayern Munich will likely move for KH if the option on Philippe Coutinho not taken up, but interest from elsewhere - particularly Barcelona (if Coutinho leaves), Manchester City (as a David Silva replacement - although you can probably scratch that for now), Borussia Dortmund and Juventus. Interest of Milan will likely not go anywhere. Dortmund and PSG have both certainly spoken with his agent. Numerous other clubs have had scouts watch including Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid who have watched him on a number of occasions but either don't see the value in the €100M asking price or have other targets. With other transfers it is likely that we can remove the interest of Real Madrid, Manchester United can also be removed from the mix after completing the Bruno Fernandes transfer. Whether Liverpool wish to throw their hat in to the ring is another matter. Bild wrote an article citing interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid - and then went on to write another saying Manchester United and Manchester City have spoken directly with the player - which they have not. Somewhere down the line an English paper added Liverpool as one of these clubs. Right now, Liverpool has not made any offer to Bayer Leverkusen regarding the player, and they should think very carefully about value for money – the asking price is very significant. Regardless, an enquiry is likely not too far away. I would not be surprised if he stayed another year where he is before a move to Bayern Munich.}
