DCL is a hard worker and scores goals
And his hold up play is great he also puts in 110% every game . But i still think we need a natural finisher who is lethal in front of goal . I have been slated on her for saying dcl scores tap ins and when he goes through on goal i never fancy him to score its just my opinion. Maybe he might become a better finisher in time.

{Ed077's Note - could you also come up with a name. Deadly finishers are very few and far and don't come cheap.

As ed77 says, natural finishers don't grow on trees and cost a fair amount! A goal is a goal for me, whether it's a 30 yard screamer or a yard out, they all count. I don't believe Dom is a natural finisher, he was a midfielder as a kid rather than a forward, but he works hard to get goals and that's all we can ask. For someone who isn't as deadly as other top flight scorers, he's still on target to beat his tally for goals in a season. If he keeps up the hard work and continues to listen then, as you say, he might become more deadly in front of goal but, overall, we've got to be happy with his progress since he joined.

{Ed002's Note - Itis not just "natural footballers" who don't grow on trees, no footballers grow on trees. Time for that discussion about the birds and the bees with your father.}

How about Erling Haaland Evo?

That would be our transfer budget gone in his signing fee and wages!

Would be outstanding but never going to happen.

As Ed077 asks, who would you suggest?

Think Ings would play well alongside DCL. Works hard and can finish, and his contract is due to end shortly.

{Ed077's Note - but would he be happy to play second fiddle behind DCL. Surely DCL isnt going to be happy being behind Ings. That is the issue, the ones better than DCL wont move unless to be first choice and DCL has earned his roght to lead the line for EVERTON IMO.]

How about someone who plays in too European League, scores innChampions League, and is an international
Oh - we have one on a 5 year contract - Kean.

Ed 077 I was thinking more of playing them as a pair. Ings and DCL up top with Richarlison-Rabiot-Allan-Dacoure in midfield and Digne-Godfrey-Keane-Aarons in defence.
If we could get a swap deal Kean for Rabiot. Then we are only looking at an outlay for Ings and Aaron. Sell Bernard and Siggurdson and part of that would be covered too.

{Ed077's Note - but PSG might want to keep Kean:)}

Well if we sell Kean I think we no where our ambition is. Stones, Arteta, Lakaku, Lescott, Arteta, Fallani - we can keep adding to the list.

{Ed077's Note - there's no point keeping someone around who doesnt want to be there.}

Sobs - all those players left to better themselves. When they left our team was poor and don’t blame them for leaving.

I think we’re in a far better position now and if those players were with us now they may not want to move on.

However when it comes to Kean, ed002 said we were only a stepping stone, no way is he wanting to come back to us. Move him on for the best price we can and reinvest.

Ed007 spot on, why keep someone who doesn’t want to play for us regardless how good that player is.

They would all move on as they all moved to CL football which we cannot offer.
If however we kept better players and not be a ‘stepping stone’ club we might have a chance
Sooner or later we have to change attitude / mentality. If players come to us on 5yr contracts don’t expect to leave after 1 season

Then we will get people who sign who want to be here otherwise we will be rebuilding non stop.

Unless I’m mistaken Kean is contracted to us not PSG. Therefore if we want to do a deal with Juve, then that’s our business not there’s.

Sobs correct me if i am wrong, but weren't the supporters screaming for Kean to be binned. Seemed to me nobody really rated him when he was with us.

If PSG want to keep Kean then they will have to pay up for him. Otherwise we keep him or sell him to someone else. It's not PSG decision to make it's Everton's.

Two names from Serie A that I'd like to see with us - Atalanta's Luis Muriel, Columbian striker (James or Yerri to put in a word? ) or Torino's Andrea Belotti. Torino look in big relegation trouble so he might want out!
