Regardless we got the job done DFS. Brighton are a very good team and will no doubt offer a sterner test but the team deserve credit and positivity and not the constant doom and gloom let's have a go when things are a bit off imo.

How can anyone moan at a 3-0 win, please explain how any game is easy, we lost to Luton now long ago yet some are questioning we had our strongest team and only won 3-0, is this a joke, few weeks back we would of been over joyed to get a point out of games, never mind getting in to a quarter final, liverpool beat us 2-0, that's against 10 men, had 1 shot on target till the penalty, wonder if they are saying the same about there team or happy they won the game, people just be happy when we win, these days have been far and wide of late, they may not last so make the most of them, even though I do think we have turned a corner.

We beat Villa mid week then lost to Luton at the weekend. I hope history doesn’t repeat itself and we beat Brighton at the weekend.

I’d like to have seen more of a second string play against Burnley and put the strongest side out against Brighton.

Nah I get it. However, we've had too many false dawns over the years. I'm not saying anything other than I've lost that fear from the past couple of seasons. This time I'm more optimistic about not going down and a quarter final was a pipe dream before.

We've got a very decent team but not big enough for a real go for top 10. However, if Thelwall keeps building this team the way he is, I'm really looking forward to the next few years.

Onwards and upwards peeps.

With our clubs very existence on the line, to continue to risk our better players, especially DCL, in this garbage (and soon to be disbanded) competition is both irresponsible and reprehensible.
