Nice letter of introduction from Moshiri in the programme for tomorrow's game. Noticed the final comment was about playing good football and winning matches. Hope Martinez reads the "winning matches" bit.

What about the rest of what he said, he will provide money for new players also keep our best players and make a decision on the stadium love this guy already he wants Everton to return to the glory days and is willing to put his money where his mouth is fair play to him exciting times ahead.

2.) 11 Mar 2016 15:49:25
Sounds good to me. let's give him a chance to get things sorted and all lay off the negativity we all post on here. He will make the correct decisions over the coming months, some personel will leave and others will arrive. We just need to view it as a new dawn for the club. And if anyone suggest mcclaren as next boss the white van will be parked on priory rd.

{Ed025's Note - love it AB..

3.) 11 Mar 2016 17:23:54
What I want to know is who disagreed with Stef the blue? I hope it was done by mistake. Stefs post and alwaysblue is fabulous stuff.

As I said plenty of times lately the future is bright. Very bright, there's even butterflies in my stomach!

I feel like a love struck teenager all over again 😁.

4.) 11 Mar 2016 17:29:44
Is the statement available online anywhere?.

{Ed025's Note - its on the EFC website i believe gibbo...i just typed in everton and it was there mate..

5.) 11 Mar 2016 18:32:13
Cheers NBTB I believe someone hit the disagree by mistake as what I posted is exactly what the man said, I am aswell very excited we have this man onboard I hope he gets a very good present from the players tomorrow and we book a place at Wembley COYB.

6.) 11 Mar 2016 20:51:47
Get a room you two!

7.) 11 Mar 2016 20:56:17
I take it, it was you who done the second disagree soldier blue!

I know we're all men and we love nothing better to express our testosterone filled body's but have you ever heard the term it's nice to be important but its more important to be nice 😎.

8.) 11 Mar 2016 21:01:58
Haha, only after noticing 2 disagrees with my comment. Some people love storing the pot. They are wasting their time if they think that's going to work.

Couldn't give a rats a*s if I got a thousand disagrees. As you said yourself soldier blue to a comment in the last couple of days 'if expressing my opinion about the bright future of Everton F. C. makes me a clown then a clown I must be'

A happy one at that 😁

9.) 11 Mar 2016 21:20:44
Just a bit of banter NBTB and no I didn't disagree with your post not guilty.

10.) 11 Mar 2016 21:26:38
No problem soldier blue. I know its only banter.

11.) 11 Mar 2016 21:40:33
I think bill has done a great job as moshiri will be able to buy outright or bring rich pals in, and he will be in charge. Bill went for the right person not the one with most money.

{Ed025's Note - he told us he would pb, its a shame there are still haters within the fold who disrespect the man..

12.) 11 Mar 2016 21:49:17
Eds I have always stuck up for Bill, he takes the crap for the other directors. But he has done well and they should at least say well done. When your proved wrong have the balls to say so. Bill is a supporter and he openly said he ain't got the money. Now he has done what we want so some fans need to get off his back.

{Ed025's Note - im with you there mate..

13.) 12 Mar 2016 08:24:34
For me Kenwright has been amazing look back at the Peter Johnson days! He has taken us from those dark dreary times and carved out a piece of Evertons history. And you have to admire him as he just continually and honestly said he couldn't take the club any further! He has gone out and found a backer that is ticking all the boxes and I have to say at this time I am very pleased! Well done Bill!

{Ed025's Note - i agree ST mate..

14.) 12 Mar 2016 16:07:29
Kenwrong has been amazing lol, he gave us Moyes and Martinez, his very own lapdogs, LOL.

{Ed025's Note - manager appointments will always be a lottery stig, but as regards running the club i think he has been great mate..

See fat Sam is taking credit for us only letting in one goal since he came on board. Of course he forgets Unsworth was in charge of the team against West Ham and it was Unsworth's team for the first game Sam had. I have another theory and that is we at last have a young center-back in Holgate. I know he makes mistakes and is learning but he is has played pretty well so far and is far better than the rest. Added to that Kenny is getting better with every game. Now if we could get rid of Martina and probably Williams and just play Jags we could have a good defense so the rest of the team could do some attacking and less defending.

1940Mike

1.) 11 Dec 2017 12:41:26
But it can not be dismissed that bringing him on board had a mental impact on the players, until he was hired not Many of them put the effort in for Unsy.

2.) 11 Dec 2017 15:03:33
Keane, Holgate and Kenny will hopefully be our defense for years to come. Just need an experienced and energetic left back and a young up and coming one to complete the set.

3.) 11 Dec 2017 15:45:40
I think its unfair to think Sam had nothing to do with Unsworth's last game, let's face it the players had not performed for him over the previous five weeks.
The fact is he was there on board, did speak with the players and we saw a considerable change of attitude!

4.) 11 Dec 2017 16:10:37
1940Mike but he is indeed correct. Since he has been in charge we have only let in 1 goal, and that was against probably the team with the best attacking line in the country.

For the short time Unsworth was in charge we let in more goals than any other manager we have ever had over the same time span.

Lets move on from Unsworth, he is no longer in charge for a reason and other owners do not seem to be knocking his door down to recruit him to manage their first teams.

5.) 11 Dec 2017 16:57:58
Sorry guys but Jags has had his best days. Kenny is going to push Coleman all the way now. Agree we are weak down the left and Martina is not the answer, Gylfi spent nearly all the game trying to cover for him. Need a striker a left back and centre back, that would make me happy.

6.) 11 Dec 2017 18:09:06
I think that you are missing my point mates. I am saying that Holgate came in for the West Ham game (Unsworth's pick) at center-half and has done very well and since then we have been much better defensively. The sooner we get in a few more young and quick defenders and get rid of the likes of Williams and Martina the better.

Weather forecasting 3-5 inches of snow on Sunday in Liverpool. Game might be called off since the Liverpool Norwegian and Dawn South supporters will not be able to travel.

1.) 08 Dec 2017 23:35:32
Spotted this somewhere, Liverpool fans be sure to check flight and train travel, Everton fans be sure to wear a big coat.

Weather does not look good for Sunday does it.

Should help us that, stop them playing their natural game.

A picture on the "Official site" of little Sam, Big Sam and very Big Duncan. Glad to see Ferguson still retained as coach. Did not hear any one criticize him last year when Lukaku was banging them in but this year when he had little to work with supporters are calling him a hanger-on. He is Everton through and through and his enthusiasm is contagious. He no doubt will learn from the other two and hopefully he will be with us when little Sam and big Sam are in retirement with their big pay-offs.

Best post I seen in awhile. Good on ya 1940Mike.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 16:50:32
Dunc brought to 1st team by Martinez, kept on by Koeman and Sam. Shows he must be doing something right and is there on merit.

3.) 01 Dec 2017 20:01:34
Thanks NBTB and you are correct OllBlue. Three people have given my post a thumbs down. Can't understand were some are coming from, how do they know that Ferguson has not done a good job on the training pitch? Koeman and his brother are to blame for were we are today not Unsworth or Ferguson,
Mike.

4.) 02 Dec 2017 02:15:55
I imagine people keep Ferguson on the coaching staff to appease the fans who would fume if he got sacked

Personally I’ve seen no evidence of him having any effect on our strikers, Rom was here 4 years and the only think he developed was his English

He doesn’t move when we are playing despite him having “mad true bloo pashun”.

5.) 02 Dec 2017 08:37:56
Pretty sure Swan he developed into one of the best goalscorers last season in the EPL and finished second only to Kane. Also developed so much that he went from being worth 28 mil to 90 mil. Not a bad bit of coaching!

6.) 02 Dec 2017 12:44:18
That’s due to inflation and Chelsea not wanting to keep him whereas we did

He didn’t develop at all, only scored as many as he would’ve anyway.

Agree with the posters who want more sound at Goodison. I am pretty sure that Koeman will turn the results around, the squad is too good for this not to happen. What I am not certain about is if he can get us playing attractive football. Every game I put on my Everton shirt and turn on the TV hoping to be entertained. This season I am not, in fact I am bored out of my mind. Koeman states that the players are "scared". I agree with him, they are scared about making mistakes so they take the easy way out and pass backwards. Koeman has shown that he does not favour players like Lookman, Barkley, Mirallas and until recently Niasse and Kenny and picks his old favorites who play the way he wants them to play, dull and boring stuff. Davies for example has shown he has a instinctive footballing brain which you can't coach. You either have it or you don't. What you can do is make the player so scared of making a mistake that they regress which is what Davies has done to a certain extent this year.
What Koeman needs to do is pick a more attacking team, give the forwards full rain to run with the ball and attack especially on the wing. They will not be successful every time but it will be more entertaining. Defenders should not make mistakes but forwards and supporting midfielders should be encouraged to have a go. To those who say getting the points is more important than playing attractive football may I suggest that playing good football brings its rewards both from getting points but also getting the fans behind the team.

Good post that mate. Many on here are calling for the heads of ex-Evertonians on the coaching staff. Watching Unsworth's and Ferguson's goal celebrations showed what they feel about the club. Hopefully they will still be at the club when the likes of Sammy Lee depart.

Of course and then Luvvy Bill will pursued him to stay and nothing will change. I don't believe anything will happen for now.

I've said it before and I know it would cost us but I would keep him for the whole year. Play him if we need him, mainly as a sub.

Ed's right Chelsea will want to offload ASAP. Costa will not want to come to the North of England so for me this is not going to happen. If it did it would be great but it would have to be on a long term deal otherwise it is a waste of time.

He certainly has done a good job so far and I like the way Big Sam talks about "we" and "us" when taking about Everton. Little Sam also seems to be totally committed to the club regardless of his Liverpool background. It is also good to see that Allardyce and Walsh apparently get on well together which is critical to our future recruitment.

Correct about Holgate Tooting. I posted the same a few days ago. He has been great and I hope we see him with Keane shortly. Williams is getting better but is still too slow for the good teams and don't get me started about Martina.

The result was great and watching the antics after the game was special. However Liverpool should have put the game out of our reach if Mane had passed to the three Liverpool players instead of shooting himself. They had four players to our one and that type of defending will be deadly against any of the better teams.
