Just seen Michael ball in the echo saying about bad investment in players got me thinking are the players we've bought in the last windows really that bad
Jordan pickford 26mil
Potentially England's world cup keeper got to be money well spent
Wayne Rooney FT back were he started and are top scorer played anywhere and will always give his all decent signing
Coco Martina FT limited in ability but should be commended for being willing to play out of position for so long lots of players would not want to play on their opposite foot
We paid no fee and he's willing to earn his wagers value for money
Davy klaassen 25 mil has been wrote off it seems but has he really had a chance started in a struggling side never really got the chance to play himself into form carried the can for some bad team performances can't go from such a good player to such a bad one that quick can definitely come again jury's still out
Lookman 8mil one of the country's brightest young talents burst on to the seen went missing started to get going again then gets loaned out a victim of a new manager hope he comes back and gets another go
Vlasic 10 mil another one who has great potential but the manager dosent fancy hope we keep only young and definitely a player in there
M Keane 26mil had a good start then lost his form when the team was struggling not major money for a English centre back jury's still out
Sigurdsson 45mil big money signing has not been played in his best position so don't feel I can judge him propally but when the shite got salah for 30mil he needs to start producing regular to be worth the money
Sandro 5mil didn't see enough to really find out if he's any good jury's still out
Wallcot 26mil good money for a player of his pedigree hope he does well
Tosun 26mil big in Turkey we will wait and see
So is it all bad on the player front or are these lads victims of bad management thoughts anyone.

Couple of points Alid,
Martina has been ok in a terrible team, don't commend him.
Salah cost 30 mill but oxlade cost 35, siggurdson cost 45. Need I say more?
Walcott great money and Tosun is not expensive.
Vlasic and Lookman need a manager who will progress them.

2.) 07 Mar 2018 07:54:25
smit i remember when u was a happy soul mate hahaha.

3.) 07 Mar 2018 08:59:18
Martina value for money? Are you kidding me. The guy is being paid you know. He is awful at lb would be awful at rb and awful at making the tea. How he gets in ahead of Garbutt is simply baffling.

4.) 07 Mar 2018 10:51:58
why do so many people think garbutt is world class? the lad doesn't start regular for the 23s, he's behind gibson right now and would be 4th choice in u23s if robinson and connelly wernt out on loan!
martina is nothing more than a scapegoat for a lot of people but i have a lot of respect for him, he signed for us a a bit of cover, a squad player, he might not be technically great but he doesn't stop he's playing out of position and putting 110% effort in week in week out which is more than can be said bout some of or "better" players.

5.) 07 Mar 2018 14:55:53
Moody has said Garbutt is world class. However he can kick a ball with his left foot, so he is already better than Martina, who can’t kick a ball with either foot.

Lets look at the possible managers we could go for
Fonseca done well in a poor league has no prem experience as player or manager would be a huge gamble
Eddie Howe nowhere near a big enough name saying you once supported us is not enough has already shown he is a southern softie lower level prem or championship manager at best
Rafa WTF do not want this man anywhere near Everton imagine he lost his first 5 games he would be crucified and we would be back to square one
Arteta an ex blue knows the club and chairman the fans would back him has learnt from top managers and will definitely be in the running for jobs around Europe my first choice
Unsworth let's be real never been invited into a it all about himself and made major mistakes not good enough
Is there any other realistic targets I've missed then someone tell me.

1.) 27 Feb 2018 14:58:37
You dismiss Fonseca as he has no Prem experience and then name Arteta as your choice, who not only has no Prem manergerial experience but has no experience managing at all! Number 2's generally don't make good number ones and that is why they remain as assistants.
Rafa is the choice based on what he has achieved in his managerial career and also the fact he has an abundance of Prem experience, something you seem to think hinders Fonseca.
Poch had no Prem experience, Guardiola had no Prem experience, Mourinho when he first came had no Prem experience and managed in a poor league, doesn't seem to have hindered any of them.

2.) 27 Feb 2018 15:12:23
Spot on bluegray too much kneejerk on here sometimes from fans.

3.) 27 Feb 2018 15:46:04
Good comment Bluegray, I even gave it a thumbs up. Same with you GB fully agree.

4.) 27 Feb 2018 15:50:31
Hi mate you been out building Snowmen, we even have the white stuff down here mate.

5.) 27 Feb 2018 16:03:52
Guadiola and mourinho had both won the champions league before coming here poch done well with a average team in Spain and inherited a good squad s at Southampton and spurs iam not saying fonseca is not worth a punt but if we're going to take a gamble then let's give one of our own ago which rules out the fat Spanish waiter also tailing about number 2s wasn't mourhinio the translater.

6.) 27 Feb 2018 16:12:46
So you read Arteta in the rags this morning and install him as your 3rd choice, after dismissing a guy who is smashing it in the CL. Due to no Premier League experience?

7.) 27 Feb 2018 17:13:03
I just can't see how Arteta could come in and change the mentality in the dressing room, which judging by performances there clearly is an issue. We need a man to come in say 'right I have faith in you, you, your rubbish so are going' and play the best team regardless of age. We have some talented youngsters and they need a manager who will nurture the talent on a long term basis. I don't know much about Fonseca so can't really have an opinion of whether or not he is the man, he has had success and has a style he likes, which we seem to be missing massively. We need a new identity and to finally move forward, we need the Martinez attacking style mixed in with the Moyes fight and grit. One things for certain, the next managerial appointment needs to be the correct one, we need a long term appointment with a long term plan. I can accept transition and some bumps along the way as long as we see the lads trying and not moving away from the identity the manager has installed in them. Come on Everton, let's stop the laughing from across the park and let 2018 be the start of the next generation.

8.) 27 Feb 2018 17:15:19
stated Arteta a couple of days ago check posts.

9.) 27 Feb 2018 19:48:30
At our age GB I will say one thing,
It's bloomin freezing!

10.) 27 Feb 2018 22:57:12
At our age they dangle that low I have to wear a Sumo Wrestlers Jock Strap or risk on the rocks really being on the rocks.

11.) 28 Feb 2018 09:11:18
fonseca who is doing well in the champions league and also had a spell in the portugese league (shows he has adapted to two different leagues) knows what European football is and how to play it, but we don't want him oh righty then.

With games coming up against Burnley who are struggling Brighton and stoke SA has to change tactics would like to see TW given a go up front maybe bring vlassic back in give TD a rest and play GS in his best position behind the striker were I think he could create forTheo put bollasie on the left with WR and IG in the middle and let's try and play football lumping it and fighting for second balls dosent suit the players he has surely now is the time for us to start attacking teams.

Think that's what everyone wants pal, maybe adding Klaassen to the mix. But it's not going to happen sadly.

2.) 26 Feb 2018 23:42:47
Id just go back to 442. Perhaps siggy could drop in middle and be the playmaker from slightly further back and let gueye do the defensive side. have tosun up front and add some youth. Give defenders an unknown quantity in the shape of Frasier Hornby. Big target man. Impressed in the Europa dead rubber. i'd have Klaassen next to Gueye as a playmaker type but to be frank, he ain't getting in matchday squad whole sams in charge.

3.) 27 Feb 2018 07:13:10
frasier hornby looks some player and i would love to see him get some minutes this season if only to see what he can do.

4.) 27 Feb 2018 09:33:02
Burnley are hardly struggling, Huddersfield just had a good win and stoke are starting to look better under Lambert, we are devoid of any confidence away from Goodison, so at a risk of sounding negative these are not necessarily given wins! But I totally agree we need to change tactics and start to be more attacking, I as most fans are sick of the dross we are being served up!

5.) 27 Feb 2018 13:40:53
Going on recent history we are more likely to beat City at home than any other team away from home.

25 Feb 2018 08:25:04
Don't think SA is the answer for Everton he will do what he set out to do and get us safe but his brand of football is not good enough to take us forward players and fans don't like it no major player will sign to play in his system the amount of times we gave the ball away trying to play long balls it's boring to watch Who do we turn to next is the big question IMO it's going to be hard to get a major name to come but for me I would give someone like mikel arteta a try has learnt all peps contacts now always tried to play good football as a player and would do so as a manager survey blues fans would get behind him and give him some time a much better option than rhino ever was.

1.) 25 Feb 2018 12:17:04
Alid, you're being kind to sa he is a man that gets bonus for keeping teams up I think are aim is higher than that we now need a manager that moves us forward I hope that's Silva despite him been sacked by Watford I really think he would be perfect. we are not a club that needs sa padrew pullis or hodsgon every year to save us.

2.) 25 Feb 2018 13:06:50
Defensive performance is supposed to be Sams forte but to harp back about my oft example of Grand Son, Son's etc and our all weather sideline support and coaching. The first thing I told my son and Grand Son was don't duck or turn your back on the ball, yes you will get hurt but less so than if you don't see it coming. Yes Watfords goal was a good one but look at it again and in particular look at Keane, the lad is a professional and touted England prospect, for the goal his eyes are tight shut both prior to and in the act of ducking his head to supposedly make contact with the ball, result is there for all to see.

Unfortunately for klassen vlasic Sandro lookman they were victims of a new manager not wanting to bother with another managers players they were all bought as creative players who we are now told are not good enough to play IMO none of them have been given the opportunity to adapt or play themselves into form I would have liked to of seen them all on the bench I don't blame lookman or Sandro going on lone and will not be surprised when they all do well at new clubs until we get a manager who plays quality football we will be watching a defensive nervous team Touson will be next a player we were told would save us but doesn't play will probably be gone in the summer aswell.
