Radio is reporting Fellaini has written on his account that Rom has signed!

BlueTone

1.) It's a fake account

2.) Maybe. but it appears to be believeable

Hi Ed, Is there any update regarding the striker situation? Specifically if we are outpriced for Lukaku, is there another option. I'd personally like to see Remy join. More experience and a cheaper option.

BlueTone

{Ed025's Note - remy is on massive wages tone, he would have to take a cut to join us, i dont expect lukaku to join us either, apparently chelsea want barkley as part of any deal involving him, and i cant see us agreeing to that, for me bony would be a good fit mate, but i suppose we will have to wait and see..

1.) I think everton will pursue another striker and I also believe that martinez will try and find a striker who can play alongside naismith. I think martinez likes naismith and given his recent form he should be a starter next season. he appears now to be over his injuries of recent time's. good luck for next season everton ;)

i agree 25 I like bony I think he offers a little more, I do believe will make an offer for him, if it matches there valuation or they accept is another matter

Alcaraz injured again? Or dropped because he's crap?!

BlueTone

1.) Two weeks ago everyone sayin how great he is one bad result against Liverpool where our hole team played bad oh and now he is rubbish good squad player to have IMO and he was free

2.) Think he's crap myself not up to the premier league. But he's only just come back from injury

3.) He's a good player, reads the game well but is slow and struggled with having jags and him at the back against three quick forwards. He will do well for us as cover for jags but we need someone with pace there when distin doesn't play.

TBH, I'm not crazy about Bolasie. I seem to recall Spuds linked with him a while back for around £20m. Palace fans were of the opinion he only turned up 1 out of 3 games and would happily see him go for a big fee. I think signing Kone is crucial though and would also love to see Bony but those rumours seem to have gone quiet. I see Arsenal linked today. Any update Eds?

BlueTone

Personally Bolasie has been palace best player for 2 seasons noticed there dip in form came when he was out injured.

Not transfer related, just interested in others views really. What's the deal with this hide and seek game with the new kits year in year out? We're now treated to a 'taster' of the new away kit, prior to its official launch. Why can't they just launch them altogether and stop all the dicking around? It seriously grits my s*it. It'll be rubbish anyway.

No hope for u Blue tone, u tried Prozac mate, its just a game mate.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, Prozac is moving to Inter Milan.}

Why don't we strike a new deal and start our new shirt sale May to end of April, the team always wear the new shirt on the last home game, this is normally a sell out, so think how many new shirts the shop could bring in as revenue if we did this instead of fannying about until the Summer holidays.

Long shot fellas (or maybe not), I missed out on last season's white away shirt - being tight and waiting for them to get reduced then they sold out! Anyhow, does anybody have one in an Adult Large that they're looking to offload?

Hi Ed/s, Great coverage over deadline day and in the lead up as usual. A bit disappointed with the dealings on the day but overall, the window represented shrewd business. I guess we'll only find out in the fullness of time. A couple of queries; What was the deal with Henen? Was it a case of Olympiakos simply offering Anderlecht more cash? I was a little peeved the deal couldn't be concluded far earlier meaning nobody else could get in and gazump us. Secondly, how is it that the Premier League can pick and choose who to offer an extension to in order that get deals done? The cynic in me feels somebody somewhere has taken a huge backhander to authorise late transfers. Clubs after all have had since the 1st July to get business done. I understand Falcao was concluded well after the 23:00 deadline and all the headlines today regarding Cleverley appeared to be mocking him having turned his back on Villa in an effort to force through a move to us which ultimately failed. Low and behold, he's able to sign on the dotted line for Villa today!

BlueTone

{Ed025's Note - it looks like a scam to me as well tone, why have a deadline if you dont stick to it?, the henen deal was a complicated one, and i have not got to the bottom of it yet mate, but im sure we will find out shortly..

1.) 03 Sep 2014 16:24:49
I could be totally wrong with this but didn't the deadline day used to finish at midnight Ed? Maybe it's possible that they call an end to it an hour early to give teams more chance to complete paperwork etc.

{Ed025's Note - european time its 12 midnight spud, we are an hour behind in england mate...i would suggest that is the reason..

2.) 03 Sep 2014 19:58:32
cheers Ed

3.) I totally buy your explanation Ed025, however this is a grey area that needs to be tightened up. Despite the hour's time difference between Britain and the rest of Europe, there needs to be clear explanations/understandings of the time scales. Otherwise clubs could be conceived as being underhand and signing someone once others had perceived that the window was shut.

{Ed025's Note - oh there is cheating going on davey, cleverley was signed at 2-30 pm the next day!...its the same with FFP mate, all the money clubs will flout the rules and get away with it..

Id take Forster over Hart all day long. Great shot stopper, very commanding in his area, good distribution and above all, can catch a ball. In this crazy market, £20m -£25m is nothing.

Palace press conference on BBC website. He also said nothing will happen before the weekend.

Lennon might like to run at defenders but his final ball is woeful. Living down SOuth, I'm surrounded by Spuds fans, all of whom think it's great Lennon could be on the move. That speaks volumes.

I'm more concerned with the form of Jags. He's not the player he was prior to his injury last year. He hadn't recovered properly for the WC and looks well off the pace. Added to that Distin is another year older and I reckon the weak link is identified.

I honestly don't think Bobby fancies Duffy. It's a shame as the glimpses I've seen, he seems to be a decent player, certainly more so than Alcaraz. Jags' legs seemed to be like lead against LC.

I understand he's got an attitude issue and if the wages are a stumbling block, notwithstanding the fact he's a failed a medical, he really needs to have a word with himself. Before he knows it, he'll priced himself out of a move and stuck in another relegation battle with the R's. If we can afford him, I think he'd be worth a punt. Remember Demba Ba has apparently got dodgy knees. That doesn't seem to have been a problem with his last few transfers.

If he doesn't inspire us fans with any confidence, spare a thought for our back four. Bobby needs to buy a decent quality understudy. Robles isn't anywhere near good enough. Strange, as I thought he was reliable whenever he played at Wigan. Bobby obviously sees something in him nobody else does.

Agreed. He never inspires confidence but Bobby seems to rate him. I'd sooner have the young Slovak as back up.
