See the echo are reporting we are tryin to bring onyekuru back in january. Anyone heard any more on this. Hows he been playing, can't say i'm an avid follower of the belgian league.

Scored 4 goals in 8 games according to UEFA. com.
{Ed007's Note - All in Onyekuru has managed to score 5 goals in 12 games for Anderlecht. He was pretty average against Celtic in the CL the other week and looked like he's miles off being ready for the EPL.
I don't see how he would qualify for a work permit so soon after being turned down either but I'm no expert on that stuff.}

Think if he is to come back in January they are looking at an exceptional talent thing they do. Man city did it with a couple of players and surprisingly we did with Funes mori.
{Ed007's Note - But what's changed in 6 months, they could have used the exceptional talent thing in the summer? I know it's easier to use it to get players to Scotland than England, we done it with Wanyama and a couple of recent signings and when Onyekuru turned us down for Everton Ed002 said he would need to go out on loan from an English team but would have qualified to play for Celtic.
I better be right there or Ed002 will be giving me a spanked bum!}

ed007, I don't think the club had any urgency to get him in 6 months ago as they courted Giroud and brought in Sandro. They probably believed keeping him at Anderlecht for a season would be good for both parties. Now it is a case of needing another outlet up front as we aren't really scoring too many and the lad is hitting the net in Belgium. I suppose it's worth a go of using the exceptional talent route just to give us some extra fire power. Question is, if we successfully bring him to Goodison in January, will the club still be trying to buy another forward?
{Ed007's Note - What I'm asking is if he wouldn't have got a work permit under the exceptional talent rules in the summer - any English team signing him would have had to loan him out to a European side - so what's changed that he would qualify for one in January only 6 months later?
I'm not questioning Everton's needs in the or anything like that mate, I'm questioning if the story in the Echo is true?}

sorry ed, should have said maybe they didn't go down the exceptional talent when they bought him, for the reasons I mentioned. Wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if it wasn't true! Cheers for the reply.

A few months ago i put a post on here sayin williams was a liability, an accident waiting to happen. Not good enough to be pushing the team were we all want it to go, an i got SLATED for it. Just hope those who disagreed with me are now seeing the light.

Not sure who it was that slated you but there isn't a lot of people on here that rate or have rated him since he joined.
If have Mori any day over him. In fact Mori is what we are missing in that back line. Brilliant header of the ball and brings the ball out with urgency and pace. He never looks to the sideways pass.
He has his issues but for me a much better player. I'd even take Galloway back from His loan and see if he could do a job.

I don't rate Mori at all, but he has to be better than Williams right now. I wasn't convinced by Williams anyway but he came back after his holidays clearly overweight and as a consequence has lost a yard of pace he couldn't afford to lose.

Completely agree over the mori shout blue john, he's exactly what we are missing at the minute. Not going to name any names but It was only a select few who disagreed with me over williams but they were adamant i was wrong, i think they all jumped on the european campaign bandwagon tbh.

I probably disagreed with you, but at the time he was a lot better than this tbf. But you are right now and would happily agree with you based on the amount of errors alone, save all round performances.

Thanks for the honesty toffee ace, i agree with what your saying, at the time he was playing well but you could tell he had that lack of concentration in him. Lately its heart in mouth time whenever he has the ball anywere near our goal. cheers mate.

I was all for him when he signed. Rated him very highly for years and thought we'd got a brilliant deal selling Stones for £48m and bringing in Williams for a quarter of that. He'd always been strong in the air, great positional sense and a leader.
Then he pulled on a blue shirt what turned out to be 2-3 years too late and now looks like the type of Sunday league player that I was always worried was going to break my leg.

Said the same thing myself about martina couple of month back and got slated, all because he did ok in a Europa game, didn't get a game at Southampton for a reason, back up at best but seems to be getting to much game time for my liking, obviously it isn't just him at the minute to be fair, beggars belief what's going on and looks like RK is hell bent on sticking to his guns, why lookman isn't getting a game is mind boggling, all the optimism for the season has completely been drained out if me, getting beat at home to the dingles? . Would just like to point out to all u kenwright haters out there who think he's done nothin for the club an is a waste of space etc etc, yous are the same people who praise moshiri blah blah blah, just remind yourselves who held out these years lookin for the perfect investor. now we've got him an everyone is happy as larry, maybe a little praise should actually go his way for a change for helping push our club in2 the new era. don't get me wrong i'm not his biggest fan myself, he comes out with some drivel a lot of the time as in WHAT A MANAGER, but like every 1 of us on here the man is an evertonian an wants what's best for our club. Its not about being smart. He just got the Martinez appointment wrong. Say what you want about Moyes he got that one right. He's human and makes mistakes like anyone. Doesn't matter how smart he is.
I praise Moshiri Bluetooth and rightly so imho. I also have always praised BK. I honestly don't know where the hatred comes from for BK. I can't see what harm he done Everton in the grand scheme of things and can only see the good he done.
Certainly a million times better than the man he replaced. I often posted on here praising BK. It's a pity more don't do it also.
{Ed001's Note - well said NBTB. Kenwright is a genuine fan who tried to do his best, while other so-called Everton fans, with much more money, did nothing but hinder his efforts. The hatred should have been reserved for those ultra-rich shareholders who were holding it back.}

Correct me if i'm wrong emeraldblue but i'm sure kev was a striker for olympiakos when we bought him. He's actually a good finisher on his day, i know them days are few and far between but still can be a good shout ðŸ‘ðŸ¼.

Bcos i like to read peoples opinions but when someone states a fact as you did with your pride shout i have to say that your being a bit unrealistic. No harm was meant by my original post i was just saying that i don't think how someone who doesn't know the lad personally or have internal matters at the club can say such a thing when in reality they have no idea what's going on.

Yes that was my opinion that's why i sent it in. What i didn't do was say that someone is not signing a contract bcos of 1 reason only which is pride, so that to me sounds like your stating a fact by saying that's the only reason when you have absolutely no idea what the real reasons are. So you want to get rid of a player who wants to be here and only got a chance when the whole team was awful at the start of the season, but you want to keep a player who doesn't want to be here an was given a chance pretty much all season an still didn't try or look like he give a sh! t. I used to love schneiderlin but for me he showed his true colours this season. You say thers a player in schneiderlin well there is also a player in klassen an he actually wants to have a go at our club. we need people at this club who actually want to be here and are going to work 100 percent every week, especially this next season coming. The lad was ajax captain at 24 for god sake he can't be that bad.

Agree with you there gb. that's definitely our best back 4 at the moment, you could maybe argue holgate over funes but i'd say jags is still our best centre back. i'm a big fan of mori, i know he has a mistake in him but the next few years are going to be his peak years and let's face it he will only make a quarter of the mistakes williams and keane are making, Plus his attacking of the ball at corners an bringing the ball out from the back are something we have been missing since he got injured / since stones left. don't want to state the obvious but its a massive game for us tomorrow, we need all the lads to put a proper shift in because there a hardworking team brighton with some decent players, an there confidence will be through the roof after the arsenal game. i'm going for 2-0, tosun an walcott. Hopefully 😂.
