Hi Eds is Mccarthy going to sign a new contract or are all these rumours about him just paper talk?

CIBlue

{Ed025's Note - i would be very surprised if he did not sign CI mate..

1.) If he does, mint. If he doesn't chiching. Although I really hope he does and am pretty sure he will. If he doesn't he will make us a lot of money.

With FFP a reality that's not going to hurt us at all.

2.) Everyone stay calm! All about agents spreading stories getting fees up etc. jimmy mc already at his spiritual home and he ain't daft. He'll sign blues.

{Ed025's Note - i think so too will..

Very proud of our boys thought they gave everything they had tonight, if we play like that every game things will start to look up, don't get me wrong still a bit disapointed but 3 points at home on Monday will make me a happy chappie

So proud of our team after that game personally I only say one poor performance which was from Jags other than that I feel the scoreline didn't reflect the game at all so proud to be a blue right now if we play like that most games we will do well this season COYB!

Haven't posted in a while just thought the emotions of the weekend have gone, I would just like to say that BK's speech after the match just shows that he is the only person that can take us forward, I know he can't provide major funds when we need them but he obviously cares about our club a hell of a lot, if we do eventually get a takeover I would hope that he is still in a chairman like position as everything he does it's in the best interests of the club a lot of people say every season he lines his pockets with money that should go to the club well we will see in the summer. Champions league is now for the takings as the Arse normally stumble late on in the season. - Thoughts on BK Ed?

{Ed025's Note - i respect him a hell of a lot CI, i love his passion and commitment to the club even in adversity from supporters who should know better..

1.) Agree totally. Bill is the chairman but more importantly a fan.his pre match interview showed what this club means to him.id certainly have no qualms about him being kept as chairman if a takeover happened.

2.) CIBlue,

You deserve to be where you are at the moment and you totally played us off the park yesterday mate, but don't write us off too soon my friend.

In the meantime, enjoy because you have been one of the best teams in the prem this season.

3.) Boys (and girls) we are lucky to have someone in Bill Kenwright who has the club's best interests at heart. OK so he might not have the billions or trillions that other owners have at their disposal but you only have to look at the way other clubs have been duped when taken over. Cardiff, Hull, Newcastle and Fulham stand out as prime examples where the fans are the last to be consulted when it all goes wrong. Name changes, shirt colours abandoned and a succession of managers in a desperate attempt to make money for the owners rather than show any allegiance towards the history and heritage of the club.
We do things the right way and results are going our way at present. Uncle Bill chose Roberto when other clubs scorned because Wigan went down last season. He was always my choice after Moyes chose the poisoned chalice of the bigger buck down the M62 and how he must be regretting that now.
If we can finish 4th this year (or even 5th if push comes to judge) then Kenwright will have been proved right in choosing a progressive manager who has taken us further than Moyes would have done.
It's still a tall shout but our destiny is now in our hands, despite a tough run in. Let's go for it and see where we end up next month.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned quite a few times, it's seems that Roberto didn't want to buy anyone in the jam window especially DD as there aren't many players of good quality that are willing to leave a club in jan if they do then they are overpriced. I'm guessing that we are looking to do our business in the summer Paul

Paul what game where you watching? I'm usually not one to go of statistics but we dominated them in possession in there half and they where parking the bus for most of the second half even when they where 4-0 up we matched them on shots overall I thought it was a good performance just a poor result withsome lapses in concentration
