Just saw on Liverpool echo that Fonseca has turned down West ham dose that mean we have moved for him?

Not going to happen they could not get round ffp as would cost 100m when you take everything into consideration Everton bought him for the next 8-10 years which is why I don’t understand why when we bought him all pundits were questioning price I thought it was a Bargain.

I have to say my "negativity" also revolves around the fact that some people seem to forget we could lose some players that we want to hold on to. never mind not getting others that we would like. Some on lucrative contracts might be difficukt to "get rid of" . as some people put it. The whole transfer thing is a minefield and we will need a big slice of luck to get things in place as we would like. look at the window before last. it was a disaster! let's hope we have a better one than that!

The pragmatic business should be the defence. That's been neglected for far too long. Obviously all over the park we can debate the merits of new blood but our defence is creaking under the lack of attention in the last few years. It's true that the majority is still Ems backline.

Think Gibson is a good defender and swap looks like good sense but think Boro would want money as well the only down side is the lack of pace Gibson has we need a centreback with pace.

Thought he was ok last night looks like he's got a good range of passing and seemed to be more mobile than he has been but still not sure about his mobility for premier leauge though but think Marco Silva would be better judge if that having worked with him before at sporting.

Hugo mate we linked to so many players it's hard to know which we are interested in and what the papers make up I think clubs and agents just use are club to try trigger a bidding war.

Watford wouldn't sell to us even if we are interested in doucoure doudt if we will even try signing any there players with all the tension between the 2 clubs.
